Hikvision nvr and ptz schedual question possibly moving from blue iris

Yes I had seen this in the cliff notes seems silly to pay so much for a system that is "old" in tech terms

Hikvision nvr and ptz schedual question possibly moving from blue iris

That's what I've been looking at. As I say I'm in no rush and just hoping to steal a bargain at some point. Over here there seems to be a lot of second gen i7 going st ridiculous process. I also been looking st the optiplex systems

Hikvision nvr and ptz schedual question possibly moving from blue iris

I'm with @fenderman on this. I initially went nvr as I only had the intention at the time of running hikvision cameras and was also cost thinking at the time. Had I had the fortune of hindsight of what my system would ultimately turn into now I would have probably spent the extra outlay and...

Hikvision nvr and ptz schedual question possibly moving from blue iris

I think @fenderman is spot on with his analysis of things, He usually is and hes a respected member and well worth taking his advice and listening to him. He always looks out for the guys on here and says how it is. All I can add is I run a hikvision NVR and when I first started I had 3...

    SD59225U-HNI PTZ issue

From viewing the camera when I have chance yes that's when I actually notice it. It may or may not happen without ivs rules when the camera is static but it's not to the point rhere I actually notice it. To put it into context. It will sometimes start to move "track" from the ivs rule then...

    Review-OEM 4mp AI Cam IPC-T5442TM-AS Starlight+

I think the only encoding available within the camera is h264 and h265 I don't believe mpeg is an option

    SD59225U-HNI PTZ issue

I've tried deleting the rule and re adding it, that doesnt work. I don't think its nvr related at all as it's doing it through live view in the webgui of the camera as well, so that sort of rules the nvr out as a cause. The nvr itself with it being a hikvision is only acting as a live player...

    SD59225U-HNI PTZ issue

Had the above ptz for a while now and I love the camera although recently I've been having some issues with it. I'm not sure if it's actually the camera hardware or firmware itself or my network web of spaghetti causing the issues. I run the camera on timed presets and tours with ivs rules...

    Reccomend me a POE switch

I've picked up 2 yes 2 (won 2 auctions doh) For 2 enterprise level managed switches. The 2 models are HP procurve 2620-24-poe+ And TP-LINK TL-SG3424P So next action is to see which one works best. The HP is actually fanless (I think) I'll dump the other one back on the bay after I...

    Review-OEM 4mp AI Cam IPC-T5442TM-AS Starlight+

If I were to buy more cameras right now I think other than 1 specific location which is very unique I would stick to the 5231. My personal opinion is that the 5442 is a firmware or 2 say from taking the mantle of king

    Help choosing between 2 cameras.

Youll not be disappointed with the dahua starlights. I've not physically used the camera you linked to but generally they are all similar in regards picture quality

    Help choosing between 2 cameras.

The camera won't be any better. In fact I actually think dahua starlights are just ahead of the Hikvision darkfighter models (in the similar price bracket at aimed at the same end user ie us). That's just my opinion and I think I'm right to say it's shared amongst a lot of the members here...

    Help choosing between 2 cameras.

Both good cameras, Depends what system you already have If you have a dahua NVR go dahua Hikvision NVR go hik. I've no first hand experience with hikvision low light stuff but I do with dahua and it's great. I do own hik cameras and hik NVR and not had a problem with them.

Help finding a new security camera

Basically the IP cameras will be able to run at a maximum bitrate for a given resolution. You then multiply all these together and you'll get a maximum bandwidth that the cameras can produce (barring firmware upgrade that unlocks more bitrate etc or obviously adding more cameras to the setup)...

    Reccomend me a POE switch

That's something I think i may look at actually. Noise is not a major major issue. As the location is going to be within a cupboard, but obviously don't want to be dealing with helicopter in the house Haha.

    Reccomend me a POE switch

In the process of putting all my equipment into a central location and hoping to put several injectors and Poe switches into 1 Poe switch. Is the 5231 still TopDog?

I think that's what the 4mp is trying to be but from release hasn't quite hit the spot
  28. R

    Is the 5231 still TopDog?

I think what were getting at is that it is more than most people on here would be willing to spend on a single camera. I would almost guarantee that a 2mp starlight mounted in the correct place would have as good a chance to ID someone in pitch black as this, Sony forget this diesnt have ir...

    Is the 5231 still TopDog?

And the cost is???? Don't forget you'll need a enclosure to put that box cam in as well

    Is the 5231 still TopDog?

That would be me also I'd more than happily upgrade to a 4mp version should they ever do that and refine the 4mp starlight tech
