    Is this a Dream Machine limit or is that the Protect software itself. I'd have a hard time believing that the UNVR Pro limits to just 8 ONVIF streams but I haven't looked into it enough to verify this yet.

    Exactly, you can think of the hackers like the Eye of Sauron and every time you port forward you are putting on the ring. The longer you wear it, the higher the probability of them getting to you. Much easier to just never put it on or at least know what you’re doing if you must.

    That spool of OM3 was super cheap (great deal) but the issue is that it isn't rated for outdoor use (see link below). Now that doesn't mean it won't work for a long time, just that it's not rated for outdoor exposure or submersion in water (like what would happen in a conduit)...
