Hikvision 2CD2135F-IS Release 5.3.3 build 1505 not authenticating using admin/12345

Re: Hikvision 2CD2135F-IS Release 5.3.3 build 1505 not authenticating using admin/123 I believe its 123456789abc. On the newer firmware a stronger password is required.

HikVision DS-7608NI-E2/8P - some pics and first impressions

I say that because my NVR doesn't have cameras on the POE ports and as the temperature changes throughout the day so does the fan speed. The load doesn't really change on this NVR as it's doing nothing most of the time. If there were cameras on the POE ports that would obviously mean more load...

You mean you have an public IPv6 address right? Not sure how that relates to your issue.

    SADP issue

I had a similar thing, one of my cams (happens to be a 2332 as well) came with DHCP enabled so it just got an IP from my router. Just make sure you give them a secure password, turn off uPnP, and yeah.

    Hikvision DS-7600NI-I2 (DS-7608NI-I2 or DS-7616NI-I2) H265/4K/12MP

One thing I forgot to mention is price. Obviously 4K stuff cost more than the typical 3MP and 2MP stuff. That argument works for everything really. I do get where you are coming from. Its the typical thing with cameras on phones and when point and shoots were popular. The megapixel war was what...

    Hikvision 5.2.5 firmware compatible NVR?

Hikvision documentation is lacking to say the least. Then again, the price we pay for these things we can't complain too much. When I checked before the, processor inside the 7608NI-E2 series NVR is the same as the one that is in a 7816 NVR, I think it was alastairstevenson who had the 7816...

    Hikvisions rj45 connectors failing

^that's the stuff. People in the comms industry love that stuff. Even the amateur radio guys who put those giant antenna arrays up use em.

You could try the 'self amalgamating' tape. It comes under different names. Other members might chime in on some stuff you can get locally. Basically its tape that sticks to itself and becomes one.

    Hikvision DS-7600NI-I2 (DS-7608NI-I2 or DS-7616NI-I2) H265/4K/12MP

All the 4K stuff including the I2 is still fairly new. Not many people know about it or they're not willing to risk buying something new. Most people probably don't need 4K anyways. Its takes up heaps more space in terms of HDD space. I'm still waiting on the day when theres affordable 4K PTZ...

Since it looks like you're running out of options might as well give it a try. Hikvision stuff does weird things, so even if it was working fine before over POE it might not work properly anymore.

    Black Cameras?

Depends on what you go with. ie proper plastic paint or plasti-dip. If you use plasti-dip just paint over the whole thing and just run a blade around the part you don't want painted and peel it off. Which camera where you thinking of painting ? a dome, bullet, turret, cube? If you can tape...

HikVision DS-7608NI-E2/8P - some pics and first impressions

It is variable speed. Do as I said above and you'll see what I mean. In a practical sense, if using most or every POE port it will most likely be maxed out. Again as I said above, not 100 percent sure if it is temperature dependent only or load and temp. I'm sure it gets cold enough over...

Nice. Well grainy, and the fact you didn't get to smash his face in. I wonder what he was looking for with the flashlight. Maybe he was checking to see if it was an Medeco.

Why do businesses use such crappy security cameras?

Reminds me of a friend of mine recently who payed about $4000 to install 6 analog cameras (540TVL) and a DVR it's branded as Micron but we all know its rebranded Chinese stuff. That price was 'discounted' as well, as he also got an alarm system installed by them. He wanted to add another...

    Hikvision 5.2.5 firmware compatible NVR?

It might be, no idea. I only have 3 cameras at the moment, didn't have any spare cash to buy anymore. I run them at full framerate and CBR, never tested the actual bitrate coming out vs varying conditions. I don't see how substream affects the NVR as the NVR only records off the stream you set...

So you can't see it on SADP either when connected to router? My camera had an issue where the switch would just do an on/off/on/off thing as well. I believe it was a connection issue. Not 100% sure what fixed it.

    Hikvision 5.2.5 firmware compatible NVR?

You could get a POE midspan if money allows, or you find one cheap. Hmmm. That is interesting. Did you use wireshark to see what it's actually doing? The 7608NI-E2 will handle 8 cameras at 3MP, most run them at 2MP/1080p. I just set each camera to 6144kbps bitrate, the quality seems better...

Can I change foucs of IR Lights?

That first picture, I was thinking I don't think a normal camera would even see that spot with visible light. The camera compensates for bright 'light' by adjusting it's exposure. However, it does this over it's whole image so the bright spots become normally exposed while the darker spots...

DS-2CD2032F-I hang up after FW update

What pattern is the indicator light showing? is it like a on/off/on/off like every half second or second? Just hook the switch up to a router. The router will assign the IP address to the camera.

    Hikvision 5.2.5 firmware compatible NVR?

I'm a bit lost on this as well. It doesn't mean recording quality though, that is limited by the incoming bandwidth and number of 'ports' it supports. I believe the decoding capacity means the NVRs ability to display 6 cameras at a max of 1080p resolution (quality in this case) for each camera...

    Hikvision 5.2.5 firmware compatible NVR?

Using a POE switch gives you a few advantages, The NON-POE NVR I believe uses an external power supply so no inbuilt fan. Even with a POE NVR the NVR will run quieter with no load on the POE ports until the unit gets warm. In which case the fan spins its nuts off. The other advantage is the...

Which NVR with alarm input, and is it worth it?

If you are having trouble finding the NVRs, I don't believe they are popular enough for sellers to list them. So if you do want them find a trustworthy seller than has the normal models and as if they have the /A or alarm output/input models. You may have also seen individual cams with Alarm...

    Questions about static IP configuration

You can either manually set the IP address to be within the same subnet while being outside the DHCP servers range. Second way is to tell the router to give a static ip address to individual set devices. The camera will be set to DHCP, and the router will give the camera/device the same IP...

In that case 90 pounds works out to be about double in aussie dollars, so say 180 plus the 22 for postage so that's over AU$200. Whereas I can get one straight from Ali for about AU$120 I believe. That sounds like better bang for the buck. It says 2 years warranty. However, that is if they...
