New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

@David L According to the link for Ezviz DB1 I thought I was downloading 200220 but It appears to be firmware 191211. Can you check the link you have up? EZVIZ (DB1) 191211 (2020-01-05), 190708 (2019-07-21) 200220 (2020-04-02) @alexdelprete I am trying to work on my synology detection...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Ive had some issues with synology. I have mine currently installed with the RTSP stream but Ive also tried installing it as a onvif device. Id try both ways to see which works. The onvif way has 2 options. 1. is you install as onvif device with full support and it works sorta, I can not edit...

Yes I went ahead and installed hikvision firmware after trying laview. I do want to use onvif with onvif2mqtt but so far I have gotten no where with that (pete C is helping me there). I guess I can try to flash Ezviz firmware back and see if it works as yours does but I dont see why the RTSP...

I did pick user defined as you did when installing the camera, i have deleted it a few times and reentered it. I have the latest surveillance station 4/11/2020 8.2.7-6222 but my version of DSM is a little behind 6.2.1-23824 because I am running an xpenology faked DS918+. I have to be careful...

Its weird that you can edit the detection area. I can not do that. I re-added my camera as you have it and I can not edit detection area at all.

The reason it was done this way was in hopes of using the motion alarm for recording. Otherwise you can only use it as continuous recording. Can you record by motion somehow? When its a RTSP stream no options are available.

Try this, this is from KlaverBoer who posted it earlier. My issue is when I add it this way I constantly get disconnects. See if you have better luck, I might have messed part of this up. You cannot add the Ezviz DB1 camera to your Synology using the normal way. But you must connect to your...

Are you having issues adding rhe camera to synology? I was able to add the camera to my synology as a onvif but another guy made a custom template to add it. Either appears to work fine. Let me know what issue you are having?

Still stuck on part 10 from above. Could it be that in the config I have something wrong: mqtt: host: 127.0.0.1 <- home assistant IP right? port: 1883 onvif: - name: device_name <-- name of device known to home assistant? Or maybe it dose not matter...

I wanted to follow up on the install of onvif2mqtt. For those so noobish as to not understand how to even get this installed i present a totally noob friendly guide. This is just how to get this installed on a synology nas running docker, but this possibly could be used for other HA install...

Is there a way to install this inside the hass.io container? Like via addons? I tried to install ths via docker running on my synology and its crashing and not showing up inside my hass.io instance. Prob something I'm doing wrong as i am super new to hass.io. I'd appreciate a step by step how to...

I went ahead and adding it as a onvif camera with all functions and hit load functions and it seems to do the same thing. Is there an advantage to your method? THANKS

Ok i guess the Alexa support is nothing for me then, I thought there was mention of it working to announce doorbell ring over the alexa. I guess for me then there is no difference between Hikvision and laview except its a higher rev of the firmware. Laview firmware is 190xxx and hikvision &...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Ok so I cant play sounds out through the speaker then. I'll play with the batch config to see what else I discover. 1 last question about firmware. I am currently on hikvision firmware so I dont have alexa or google assistant but hikvision firmware is far ahead in firmware rev number. Do you...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Yeah I am getting the snapshot and I can get the RTSP stream is that it? Cuz that is not really onvif over http like http://182.136.255.45/videostream.asf?user=[USERNAME]&pwd=[PASSWORD]&resolution=64&rate=0 So I can not really add this camera to synology unless I add it as a RTSP stream (which...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

I usually figure it out with tinycam pro but I do know that the urls are the trick here. I'm going to play around with the links you gave there and see if i can figure it out. Synology asks for just the basic info and usually its pretty straight forward if it has onvif it works. So the camera...

Well thats good to know. Ok does the onvif feature use HTTP and port 80? I also tried port 8000, thats the only other thing I can think of?

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Yes I do not have encryption on and do have the admin and verification code and tried the login but it fails to add the camera to onvif option in synology and it wont add to tinycam pro either so something else is amiss here. I know there are 2 versions of the camera a ver 1 and ver 2. Is the...

Hi all, Ive read nearly all of this great thread and wow has it been helpful. I especially want to figure out how to use onvif2mqtt in HA for doorbell motion as this is my goal but first I need to figure out if onvif is going to work. I have a Ezviz DB1 and I wanted to get onvif support going...
