How Do I Use A Dahua Camera With A Hikvision NVR?

I'm having the same challenge in adding a Dahua PTZ camera to Hikvision NVR. I can access the camera by connecting it directly to my router with an external power connection. I have identified the IP Address I need to use which is 192.186.254.9...But Dahua config page requires a default gateway...

    Activation?

I just got this Dahua PTZ dome; DH-SD22A204TN-GNI All of my other cameras are hikvision. With this one, I got no instructions regarding initial setup or activation. Is there an IP Address that Dahua uses like Hikvision? Thanks.

HAHAHAHAH! Just found that out! A mess indeed! Thanks for the advice. I'll just roll with maximizing.

    Help with frames

BTW, it could be that what I am seeing is the result of 'opening in desktop frames?' If I do that, it appears I can manually arrange the frames with more freedom as to side-by-side.

    Help with frames

Thanks but my layout was already set as suggested except for maximize screen. When I maximize the screen, the frames do get closer but not touching. Also, thanks for the heads up on using different colors for each camera.

Updated NVR firmware published - NVR_78_79_EXX_V3.4.80_160718.zip

Thanks for the info. Everything is working ok, though I am still farmiliarizing myself with the system. So far I am pleased with the performance and stability. I think I'll leave well enough alone and wait for a compelling reason to update. Thanks much!

Updated NVR firmware published - NVR_78_79_EXX_V3.4.80_160718.zip

I was not able to recover it. I did locate the tools needed using TFTP but decided to take advantage of an Amazon return. It was misrepresented and turned out to be a chinese version to which the seller applied some kind of language change. The replacmement I got was an International version, I...

    Help with frames

Just started to use BI and I have all my cams showing ok. I have 7 cams and there is a big space between my frames (side by side)... I've seen screen shots where the Cams are close, like the view I have from my NVR to a monitor. Just cannot find where to configure this. Thanks.

    General question regarding BI

Thanks Fenderman! Makes sense that it is best to pull streams from the cameras. My HikVision NVR has an internal ip addressing scheme that makes accessing the cameras outside of the NVR not possible. The system assigns IP Addresses that are outside the addressing scheme of my router. Do you...

    SD49225T-HN install question.

Thanks for info Nayr. I have an Hikvision nvr... DS-7608NI-E2/8P It shows support for standard af & at (Max power is 120 watts) so looks like I am good to go with the Cat5e run that I have awaiting.

    General question regarding BI

I was able to figure it out. I found two locations on the first screen referencing CAM#. One was in a string where there was reference to PSIA, and the other was a pull down tab with pre selections for Cam#....i.e. cam1, cam2, etc. The CAM_01 in that PSIA string should be left alone. I only...

    General question regarding BI

I am a noob to this so bear with me. I have a 7600 series HikVision POE 8 channel nvr and would like to try BI. The NVR It has it's own internal IP addressing which is out of the range of my router. Cameras are at 192.168.254.1~ And my range is 192.168.0.1~ For direct access to my cameras, I...

    SD49225T-HN install question.

I'm awaiting one as well. I'm a bit confused on what I need to do as to prep. I have a cat5e cable run awaiting but the reference to RS485 bus has me confused as to whether I need to run another cable.

Using Analog PZT Camera with IP NVR

I wasted coin on Lorex analog stuff by not doing my homework. First Zmodo then Lorex with the ECO 4 DVR and 7711 bullets (8 died due faulty IR cutout) ended up upgrading to the 7722 domes (better) and 7723 Bullets. Then the ECO 4 crapped out! That's what drove me to research and why I ended up...

Using Analog PZT Camera with IP NVR

I am in the process of replacing an analog system with IP but have a Lorex PZT analog camera that I would like to salvage. Hello from deep south! Mississippi

Thanks for the advice on using TFTP as last resort. Actually I assumed the system would not let me install incompatible firmware but it updated with no complaints and then went into a boot loop after rebooting. When my replacement NVR arrives, I'm going to be verrrrrrry careful if I see a need...

    General question regarding firmware

I purchased the DS-7608ni-E2/8p from Amazon and was able to get it configured and running ok including Virtual Host. It was described by the merchant to be US Upgrade and I took this to mean that it was a US version. When I got it, it came in an OEM type box (Plain Brown Card board ) and the...
