Aah, thats a bummer :( I realy like the hybrid idea of the turrent, smaller and less easy to "vandals" as a bullet (just smack it with a stick and it will move away) but also no sun glare on the protective shell outdoors. The salesperson here in my country told that Hik was better quality...
is the Dahua 4k/x also in turret form? And what would be the dahua model number, as its business expense for me, its easier to just buy from a local Dahua dealer and get a local invoice with taxes etc.
Hows does thise one compare to the Hik colorvu 8mp 1/1.2? F1. I have alot of them, but they were my first purchase so no comparison, only going on the 8mp 1/1,2" sensor size + colorvu in turret form = match found :)
They do have pretty good night shots if they get some light, but the only...
if you got BI console open (Web interface will be roughly the same layout which is made in the BI console) click the box with a pencil (marked yellow) which is in the top row, next to the camera group
On the top right of the console.
then, you are in edit mode for this group, you will get a...
Allright, got it setup now on sub-high model. Are there any cuda/deepstack/driver tweaks i can do to further improve the performance? I dont see any gpu % hit when deepstack runs, so it seems like its more of a memory bandwith thingy instead of gpu load
thanks, i got V2.1 general installed now, seems to be working. Altough not as fast as i would like. Would you suggest using main stream or just sub stream data on high model (Nvidia P2000 deepstack gpu windows bi machine)
well in all honesty, changing those 2 or 3 registery keys/maybe adding 1 is also less then 5 minutes, and is 100% working, whereas a seperate program is also a risk of it not working.... I could even write a small CMD script for the IPcamtalk forums to just run as admin and then it will make the...
So if i understand correctly, i use general V2.1 model i need to put
bicycle,bus,car,cat,dog,motorcycle,person,truck in the "to confirm"
and put objects:0,general in the custom models row and uncheck "use default object detection"?
Well BI needs to re-encode all streams to put the timestamp in, and ntp deamon is all ready running on Windows, it's just a small setting and a firewall rule you need to change so your cams can use the machine as NTP check if they don't have internet access. So actually it reduces cpu load...
Yes they can see its altered due to the difference in style of text. The camera is a bit less resolution the BI text so to speak. Bi makes it more clear.
So, I will explain.
On your BI machine you need to setup a NTP server/relay. And then in your cameras setup the bi machine ip address as the ntp server. Then your cameras will all synchronize their time with what windows on the BI pc tells them. It's not BI doing it, it's the ntp server on...
Do your cams have internet connection? (security hazard) if they do, use pool.ntp.org as your time server in the camera network or time settings. It's called NTP or something like network time. Also the interval is not always changeable by the user. Sometimes it's locked.
NTP is a very old...
Windows 10 pro at least has an I ternal ntp server that doesn't need external software. I always install the pro version so don't know if it's available in the other 2 versions. But it's just a few registry edits to enable it, and a firewall rule to allow the ntp protocol through, out of the...
I was thinking the same direction, as the image starts at 230ppm,but logically if they walk closer it will get significantly higher with less noise then a 1/2.8 sensor.
Thanks for your confirmation, the cam is like 150bucks more but it's business expense luckily.
So i'm looking into some "higher end" Hik cams, in the 5 series, all sensors are 1/1.8" but they are available in 2, 4 and 8MP. I allready have the 8mp 1/1.2" colorvu turret, and those are pretty great if there is some artificial light. But now for some "no lights" places i'm looking into higher...
Both thanks alot for your excetionally fast and extended responses and help. I changed all my hik's to H264 and definitly see a improvement to my IQ in UI3 from BI, also 16mbit as "storage is cheap". Now a dedicated machine runs with 2x 18TB disks fro the first storage, and then its transferred...
Thank you both for your information.
The current 1/1.2" 8MP looks pretty good with artificial light, but off course i can't say for sure. Blue Iris definitly degrades the direct to disc footage from H265 -> H264 re-encoding when showing it. So i'm a bit in doubt if i should revert to H264 on...
More Cuda cores means faster processing. More Cuda cores means more data processing power so faster results if multiple cameras trigger at the same time.
As said I use a p2000, still have to install the custom cctv model. But on high accuracy with main stream I get almost no false...
Ptz will have its own transformer as the motors use to much for poe. A varifocal is on the limit, but a Ptz has a dedicated transformer 99 out of 100 maybe only the mini ptz runs on poe++
Yes, and you will probarly need alot of power buffer, without getting to technical, its cheaper to get multiple small power units to server a few ports then 1 big power unit to service all ports... Works the same with Computer power supplies (single rail vs multiple rails for power delivery)
I...
They sell HIk, dahua and foscam mainly, but also Axis, Bosch and a couple more. HIk/Dahua/Foscam mostly for smaller sites/self installers.
Also a secondary question, can i mount a PTZ on its "side" or will it get confused, like a dome mounted to a wall with a junction box underneath it instead...
Even using multiple high quality switches in series still works fine. Every NVR also has a internal switch to supply the POE ports if its a POE model.
My "worst" placed camera's go through 3 switches before reaching the Blue Iris PC (The NVR), and i don't notice alot of difference in stutters...
I understand the angle part, noticing it now realy with the 4mm's being above the doorway, so when people are about 15m away you can see their faces pretty well, but the 4mm isn't enough then. Thats why i'm realy considering the mini PTZ dome with zoomed in "parking" on entry, and maybe a...
I have a realy strange problem,
i'm trying a direct export of the direct to disc footage (H265 8mp, 8192mbit from cam) which shows up fine in blue iris UI3/local console, but when i want a straight export it shows 1fps in VLC, but audio track is fine....
What setting would i need to change to...
using a p2000 Which i got a great deal on, permanently running HIGH model with main stream images (8MP) and its <300ms allmost 95+% of the time.
Do note, running it in a ubuntu vm on my truenas scale machine with passthrough. So the BI pc doesn't have to handle it, windows drivers seem to not...
@samplenhold thanks for your extended explnatation, i found a dome which is reasonable priced but 1/2.8" unfortunatly, but does have 120mm max focal length with the optical zoom. Its the Hikvision DS-2DE4A225IW-DE But the 2.8 is realy holding me back. A 2MP in 1/1.8 is so clear at total darkness...
Hi, maybe I wasn't very clear. English is not my main language.
In the daytime hours I have very good view as there are cams right above the opening watching the outside area and most of the day there are customers around which will notice strangers and talk to them what they want on our...
