Not sure why yours is greyed out but that’s not what background refresh is. You need to go to Settings -> App Store -> AUTOMATIC DOWNLOADS section and turn off App Updates -

Have you tried from Search? Pick Search Time Range desired, select the entry you want, Download by File. This is from a LPR437IR so may totally irreverent to this camera -

Another reason to not make changes through DMSS or SmartPSS. Changes should be made directly from the camera webpage other than the recording schedule and a few other NVR specific settings -
Dahua NVR and external microphone
I believe those rca ports only allow you to use a mic and speaker. There can be a mic outside and speaker by the NVR or vise versa. They don’t record the audio -

Settings -> App Store -> AUTOMATIC DOWNLOADS section Make sure App Updates is off. Won’t help you this time but will for next. At this point you have to wait until DMSS is back in the App Store -

Are you sure app updates is not enabled in settings? Sounds like it is and I’d recommend turning it off -

You should be able to switch wifi off, open OpenVPN and when it connects, open DMSS. Everything should work like you’re on wifi just a bit slower depending on your home internet up and cellular down connection speed- 97JeepXJ

It was working for me too for the most part. I don’t believe DMSS was my problem but I thought I’d delete and redownload only to find out it’s pulled from the app store at the moment- 97JeepXJ

Unfortunately DMSS is not available at the moment. If you haven’t downloaded it already try Amcrest View Pro 2. Use IP/Domain/DDNS to add your NVR Address: is the IP address to your NVR Device Name: whatever you want to call it- 97JeepXJ

I use DMSS when I’m home or away. Same app, same settings. If I’m home and on wifi I open DMSS, if I’m away I open the OpenVPN app, slide the switch over and when it connects open DMSS- 97JeepXJ

Same here. I wasn’t having problems with DMSS per se but I don’t have auto updates on. I was having trouble with IVS notifications and I just switched to a new NVR and thought deleting and reinstalling might be worth a shot. Unfortunately I picked the day they pulled it from the App Store. In... -

Unfortunately I’ve decided it’s the new NVR and not an app problem. I’ve added the old NVR to the Amcrest app and the IVS notifications work. Just got a motion notification from the new NVR but no IVS. The email came through from the new NVR for the IVS though -
