Firmware Feature requests/bug fixes to send to Huisun

I believe there was a link to a manual posted somewhere which had the info on the on-screen menu, but I'm afraid I don't remember where it was posted. Anyone know where the manual is??

Call preset 95 to bring up the on-screen menu, and you can turn it off from there (sorry, can't remember the exact path to the option off hand).

Mini PTZ 2nd Gen: 2016 PTZ Camera of the year!

I wish! :) No, I got a significant discount and free shipping on another one with the alarm/mic connections. Which considering I was going to order another anyway worked out really well for me.

    4.2.8 - January 7, 2016 - Hardware Acceleration

The notion of using both GPUs at the same time never even occured to me, so many thanks for this @bp2008! Doing this has reduced my CPU usage by an additional 15 to 20% over the Intel accelaration alone.

Mini PTZ 2nd Gen: 2016 PTZ Camera of the year!

The first 10x mini bullet I ordered from Monica when the cameras were new to the forum was supposed to have the alarm/mic inputs, but didn't. She did the right thing in fixing that mistake, so I am inclined to trust them at this stage.

Sunba HZ507-20XB Mini Dome PTZ Camera

A problem with mounting a PTZ permanently tilted up is that when you pan left and right, everything is on an odd angle.

Anyone else found 4.2.8.5 has reduced CPU usage even more?

If the IR LEDs are for the 10x they may need to be changed too.

5 MegaGixel 1/1.8" low light destroyer for $90-AVOID LONGSE JUNK

Thanks for that @fenderman. Overnight I tried a number of different camera setting (fps, resolution, bitrate), but nothing changed the rate of dropouts/disconnects. The only setting I have found which has an effect on the how often it drops out is the receive buffer in BI. The lower I set it...

5 MegaGixel 1/1.8" low light destroyer for $90-AVOID LONGSE JUNK

No, it does have the H265 options. I wonder what I've got configured differently. I assume it's something I've done in BI because I did the factory reset of the cam and only changed bitrate and resolution. Out of interest does the cam have any more impact on CPU usage than others?

5 MegaGixel 1/1.8" low light destroyer for $90-AVOID LONGSE JUNK

I have, now and previously. It drops out more frequently, about every 10 or 15 mins. It's most stable with 1mb. The odd thing is I have another cam which has H265 as an option, but with completely different hardware and firmware, and it has exactly the same issue as this, including the effect...

5 MegaGixel 1/1.8" low light destroyer for $90-AVOID LONGSE JUNK

As far as I can tell it's with BI only. Yes, this time it's on a different power source and cables to last time I tried it.

5 MegaGixel 1/1.8" low light destroyer for $90-AVOID LONGSE JUNK

Firmware updated (thanks), factory reset. Odd thing is, when I enable it it BI, CPU usage jumps by 20 to 25% (over the existing 16 cams enabled and on screen). This is at max resolution, 25fps, 8000 Kbps, no recording or motion detection in BI. I've reduced the resolution to 2048x1536 and now...

    IR differences question

I use a few 940NM IR illuminators, and while they are invisible to the naked eye unless you're up close to them, they provide approx. half the illumination on-camera for the same power and field of view as 850NM.

5 MegaGixel 1/1.8" low light destroyer for $90-AVOID LONGSE JUNK

If you're going to be using it with BI @fenderman, I'll be very interested to see if you are able to maintain a stable connection without regular (roughly hourly in my case) dropouts. The built in POE is a bonus. That box-on-cable just means a bigger hole or junction box is needed otherwise.

Just out of interest, I asked the Ali seller I got mine from if he'd ask Longse if it's possible to get a true 16:9 1920x1080 image with a firmware update. This is the reply he received:

Mini PTZ camera impressions! 2015 PTZ camera of the year? AVOID THIS CAMERA

There is the option in the web interface to mirror the image up/down, so technically I guess it would work. However you would only have 5° downward tilt, and personally I'd question the ability of the pan/tilt joints/construction to last long with the weight hanging down off them that way. When...

Mini PTZ 2nd Gen: 2016 PTZ Camera of the year!

Great stuff, thanks @klasipca. Dissapointing that there aren't obvious improvements, at least at night, but at least it's still a good thing. What interests me is the 10000Mbps. I was under the impression that one of the main advantages of the Ambarella processor was the ability to get the same...

    4.2.8 - January 7, 2016 - Hardware Acceleration

When the complimentary 8 pixels were added to the 1920x1080 cams, and their masks were lost, I recreated them with just the basics, but deliberately didn't save/export settings. So now that the resolutions are correct again, all I had to do was import my settings to get all of the original masks...
