I imagine that the substream is perfectly fine for identifying things like cars and people but that if deepstack was going to be accurate on faces or license plates you'd need the full res stream for that.
I haven't yet installed Deepstack, so some of these questions might seem naive.
Since Deepstack itself can filter out white listed faces, does this work with BI integration? Is there a way to identify unique faces and white list them with an exclusion file? If an object is both detected as a...
This camera first came out in 2018 so I'm assuming they're about to discontinue it. I have two 2017 DS-2DF8236I-AEL USA versions that are now discontinued (regular IR LEDs) that I bought for $1100 each from a Hikvision distributor. Every other seller was asking over $3K so I got those for steal...
Just picked this up on ebay for $710. USA product. I called Hikvision with the serial number and the 3 year warranty is good until mid 2022. Was used as a demo for just a few days so it's still essentially brand new...
The last pull request was slightly over a year ago.
https://github.com/openalpr/openalpr
The product has not changed since so why would they keep updating it? Where is the evidence that they switched over to their own proprietary image recognition library?
What do you base this one and where have they stated they are no longer using OpenCV? I was using OpenALPR locally hosted on their trial 2 years ago and it was 99% on plate recognition with low cpu usage. OpenCV takes the entire video stream and not just snapshots.
Isn't OpenALPR open source and just a thin wrapper around OpenCV? Why mess with trying to integrate with Rekor's client rather than just implementing a new wrapper around OpenCV?
14 cameras currently running. Everything was fine on BI4. CPU about 25%. Gigabit connection from PC to my Unifi switch. 75 mbps constant stream from all cameras. Nothing else being done on the PC. Tons of bandwidth unused.
After upgrade, enabled substreams. CPU now 2% with substreams enabled on...
Now that we have Deepstack for things like object recognition, what about local license plate recognition? Any whispers of opencv/alpr integration or teaching deepstack how to track and read license plates? Perhaps deepstack for tracking a license plate extracting the actual plate image...
I have BI5 running with 14 cameras currently. At 2% cpu using substreams for motion detection. The entire i7-8700 is sitting at 6% total cpu. I'm about to install Deepstack. With so much cpu headroom left on my PC, would I still benefit from a dedicated graphics card like a 1030 or P400?
Upgraded from BI 4 to 5 today. I didn't even know about the substream thing. My motivation was Deepstack integration. But then I read the note about substreams. I have 14 cameras ranging from 2 to 5 MPs. I enabled and configured the substreams on each one and had BI rescan the ONVIF cameras and...
When I set it to "open desktop window" it makes no difference. Double clicking still does nothing. When I double click, I need the camera to maximize in my second monitor like it used to.
I'm having the same issue. Just upgraded from 4 to 5 and double clicking camera no longer moves it from my my side monitor to the main monitor. I don't have maximize or auto cycle enabled. There's a new setting in cameras called "double-click". When I set it to "open desktop window" it makes no...
Many of my co-workers with unifi networking added cameras because they're "all-in" on the eco system. That's how.
I already had BI and many different brands of cameras plus many of my cameras are integrated directly into my home automation system that is agnostic to my networking topology. The...
Years ago, after the VB635 was discontinued by Sony, I happened to score two new sealed units on ebay for $199. List price before being discontinued was $2000. Despite it being discontinued, I thought it was a very good deal. Since then prices have gone through the roof on this camera. I still...
Do you think the SD6AL433XA-HNR with the 1/1.8 sensor is going to be have the same tracking performance? And can you get human specific notifications which something I don't have even on the Hikvisions?
How's the nighttime performance? I'm slightly surprised at that price point it doesn't include a 1/2" CMOS like the more expensive Hikvisions. I'm not sure if the spectacular nighttime performance of my Hikvisions is solely because the sensor or if the optics or even special processing has...
FYI, if we're comparing Dahua and the Illuminati which are about the same price, the Illuminati is far more reliable at locking onto subjects but it will NOT zoom which is unfortunate. The Dahua will zoom in but has a far harder time locking onto subject and when it does half the time, the half...
Apparently that is the case unless you were selective and picked the 10% of the time that your Dahua tracked successfully and not including failures.
Can you show me a screen shot on your Dahua settings that allows you to pick "Human" tracking over other object types?
SD59225U-HNI.
How do you set a "human" filter". In Smart Plans, I see Heat Map, IVS, and Face Detection.
In IVS, I see Tripwire, Intrusion, Abandoned Object, Missing Object.
I'm waiting for a second hand sony snc-vb770 to come up for sale at a reasonable price. It would eliminate the need for auto tracking and extra lighting of any kind :)
Make sure to watch this one on a large 4k monitor. It's clear from this and the lack of motion blur that license plates will...
