    AV Rack

I can get better wifi speeds if I used my own modem and access points. But it's not a priority. I bought a Mikrotek modem and access point and tried installing it. The plan was to have a 10Gig network but it was too complicated at the time. I'd blaze through it now but, wifi is a no go for us...

Yes indeed! I've ran several different speed tests and they all show the same results. At peak times, speeds are a little slower and as far as I can tell, I've only hit the 1Gig threshold twice.

We were talking about internet speeds the other day. Here is a snap shot of what my average speeds are. They vary from time to time, but stay in this range.

I have to standard router that comes with AT&T. I believe it's a Pace Router. I get 800 to 900 up, occasionally hitting the 1Gig mark. It's about the same on downloads too. Wifi is another story. It's slow. I don't use it much anyway. Other than a Fire Stick in my kids room and the wifi light...

    AV Rack

I have Gigabit internet and get a Gig some of the time but, wifi is slow! My Nvidia Pro gives me fits at times. It's actually Netflix that's the culprit. It'll freeze up and won't allow me to exit without rebooting the Shield. Problem is, the Shield and power supply is tucked away and is not so...

I started with a small monitor and things grew from there to what I have today. I only have 10 cams though.

I had to go behind mine to swapp out a copper HDMI cable with a fiber cable. And I also swapped server cases and added AC Infinity. If it weren't for those things, I'd never mess with it. Except for the occasional reboot of Nvidia because Netflix seems to give it fits every now and then.

Worse than that, the second you would have put it on your truck a Game Warden would have magically appeared! It'd be like one dropped out of the sky. :idk:

Very nice! The 64 million dollar question is, Did you get the Deer? Surely there's some deer sausage and a least a roast in the freezer, right?

    AV Rack

I installed an AV rack about a year ago. It's in our mud/wash room. Not anbideal place, but it works. It's an open area and has A/C cooling. It still warms up a bit though when the dryer is running. I have my server which gets hot, the cable modem is a heat exchanger, the Marantz and Outlaw make...

Yeah, I learned about it from a Cajoling Technologies video on YouTube. His explanations and tutorial was real simple.

Zero Tier remote access to Blue Iris

I use it on my Android and iPhone and it was easy to install. The only gripe I have is that if I don't log in on my iPhone to check my cams Zero Tier will shut off and I'll have to turn it back on. With Android is set it and forget it.

I believe issues with standoff are operator error. It's straight forward. I used the little standoff extensions and the board installed easily. The board is a full size ATX board that fit in the 2u chassis which is why I initially used the low pro CPU cooler.
