    Web Power Switch price increase

Not the cheapest but has alarms for low or high temp too: http://tyconsystems.com/index.php/products/tycon-power/tpdin-monitor-web/751-tpdin-monitor-web2 No AC rated relay contacts but you could add a relay and drive that DC coil to switch AC devices

16 Channel interface for Alarm signals going into NVR system

I've used this company's products at work, I'm not sure what all you want to control (voltage, current, etc.) but in general this stuff is flexible: ControlByWeb | Ethernet I/O for Relay Control and Remote Monitoring If you want to put more effort into things you can get by cheaper with...

    Lan IP changing

I wanted to add to Terk's advice here, at the command prompt add the "/all" suffix to "ipconfig" to get all of your detailed network IP information, type "ipconfig /all" - this will indentify more information about how the machine is connected.

    Lan IP changing

Your computers static/fixed IP address is configured via Windows, not BI. If you have a DHCP server on your network and your NIC (network adapter) is configured to get a DHCP assigned IP then the IP will be determined via DHCP and it sounds like your router may have a short lease time on DHCP...

Off grid BI system - enough processor?

I know this is an old thread now but I have more questions that are on the same subject... I'm still not 100% committed on the NVR/NUC/Blue Iris choice to any one solution but I have been lurking here trying to learn more so I can make good choices in equipment without wasting time & money, in...

Off grid BI system - enough processor?

Oddly enough Verizon built out a new LTE network from the ground up here and it got AT&T & VZW in a pissing match over LTE coverage... I'm not complaining. The bandwidth is way more than adequate, I see 20Mbps down & 5-10Mbps up pretty regular when I test with Ookla. I have been fairly...

Off grid BI system - enough processor?

I am running all of the data & coms equipment directly off the 24VDC battery systems, the computer I am asking about needs 3 amps @ 19VDC - I was planning on converting the 24VDC to 19VDC using something like this

Off grid BI system - enough processor?

Understood on all points, I'll see what I can dream up. I haven't been concerned with recording because this property is practically inaccessible (short of a helicopter) about three months a year. The issue is, however, there are short periods of time in that otherwise inaccessible period that...

Off grid BI system - enough processor?

That does sound like a cleaner answer as far as power consumption. Do you have a vendor that's better than Amazon? Looks like there is some question of getting "genuine" Dahua via Amazon. I also saw a few gripes on the reviews there about motion detection being buggy, do you have any of those...

Off grid BI system - enough processor?

I am trying to implement a BI based system at an off grid cabin that keeps power consumption to a minimum. The intent is to use at least three POE fixed IP cameras with a Windows 7 machine running Blue Iris. I have a system with an Atom D2700 @ 2.13GHz with 4GB of RAM and a 120GB SATA 2.0 SSD...
