Google Fiber - WAN Remote Access Problems

Probably have to set up port forward in Googles box to your box. Use your own router - Fiber Help "Any externally facing network configurations (such as port forwarding and firewalls) need to be configured on both the Fiber Network Box and on your own router."

High CPU Useage on 22 Camera build system

You could keep the high resolution on the more important ones but I bet you would see at least another 15% drop in CPU load if you changed half of them to 1920x1080

High CPU Useage on 22 Camera build system

Yep, I just logged in to check and I have BI at 18 and cams at 15... my memory sucks. I just remember experimenting with various settings until I found what 'seemed' to work best. Also, resolution - Some of my cams are 2K capable but that is a bit much for my system to handle. All 7 cams at...

High CPU Useage on 22 Camera build system

What is the FPS of each camera? I have found that identical cameras right out of the box will not have the same settings... one might be at 15fps and the other might be at 29fps. Logging in (camera itself) and setting each camera to 18fps and then setting each cams BI interface at 15fps has...

Recs for a 1u rackmount 16 or 32 channel Blue Iris box?

What's the temperature like? Only reason I shy away from compact is potential heat issues.

    POE switch recommendations...

I use these with no problems. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E6LID0S/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Not the cheapest but have been reliable for me.

High CPU Useage on 22 Camera build system

I was actually just looking at upgrading my 8yr old entertainment/gaming system and thought this was a pretty good deal, then thought, maybe this would be a great system for a new NVR (not that I need a new pc/nvr) Amazon.com: Intel 7th Gen Intel Core Desktop Processor i7-7700K...

    Need a basic wiring diagram...

Like this? Of course, you will need a larger switch or you could move the NVR and one cam to the router.

Blue iris and CPU consumption as it relates to memory usage

Why not break it down and take steps? Disable all your cameras. Kill the Blue Iris process and check your resource monitor... what is your cpu at? You want to make sure your system is 'stripped down' to the bare necessities. If your cpu is idling nice and low then turn on BI. Now what? Then try...

    WebCast to YouTube

My last messaging with Ken was that he was going to push out an update that would allow a "silent stream" that youtube would be happy with.

    Own nvr on hikvision

Yes, The iVMS 4200 is the NVR system that comes free with your Hikvision camera. It is also the best way to configure your camera settings. Your cameras should have a small disc included with this software but you can download it as well.

When adding second camera I can no longer see first on server

I accidentally do that often, somehow click and drag when I'm just trying to move the cursor. Is there a way to disable that?

How many times can i use reg code

A lot of recommendations throughout the forum. Look for a business class computer with Intel i7 with Quick Sync (avoid AMD). I am partial to Thinkservers but any popular brand business class should work good. 8GB RAM is a good minimum Use at least a 7200rpm drive for the system. I use an...

    Diagnosing poor fps

I've converted towers to rack cases, it really is easy and sounds like you would be quite capable. Lot of case choices out there, I used a 4U rosewill for my freenas server, really a large case but 5 120mm fans doing a push and a couple 80mm fans doing a pull over the hard drives, the board is...

DS-2CD2335FWD-I - Hikvision Ultra Low Light 3M camera

Probably.... I have really only noticed the need to switch to 60Hz (if even an option) on cheaper cameras.

DS-2CD2335FWD-I - Hikvision Ultra Low Light 3M camera

60Hz for most north American electronics. You will notice it in your monitor, the view might be a bit wavy in 50Hz. I think European electronics are mostly 50Hz.

    Need Router Recommendation

I use Untangle Firewall - it is an Open Source based operating system. They have a free version but for a full function home use version it is like $50 per year. It lets you use just about any computer tower as your Router/Firewall/VPN Server, etc. You will have to install a PCI Network...

    can't change settings via browser

almost forgot, you can also use the software that comes with the camera... open the small disc that Hikvision sent with the camera and look for the iVMS4200 software. Install it so you can use it as a configuration tool. Here is a quick screenshot of how it works: Available Cams will show...

How many times can i use reg code

NAS is optional. Storage on a computer depends on several factors but basically on how many cameras, how much activity will be recorded, and how long you want to keep the recordings. BI retains recordings according to your settings (and available space) and will delete recordings as space...

How many times can i use reg code

Yes. I blame walmart. Let me just be clear, I am not saying don't buy Dell or HP, I am just leaking out my opinion based on my experiences and it is true that in my business, in small town northern Minnesota, most people do not have an Optiplex or an Elite model. I am a bit biased in favor...

How many times can i use reg code

I would never ever brag of having so much experience that I "know it all" because it is simply impossible. Even though I have been working directly with computers since the early 90's. I would also never say I am stating matter of fact information - as I mentioned in my response, "Dell and HP...
