    been bench testing this unit for many weeks, now put it in someone house and it is giving sometimes "No HDD" in log and on screen and beeping. i turned off the logging of it and have been told it has gaps in the recordings. hdd faulty or something else?? this thing is a damn pain.

    nope, just local operation reboot, local hdd information, power on, then 20x IP camera disconnected, HDD SMART, local operation activation ...................... never done it before, don't get ya.

    it was a new HDD, new NVR, new Camera. i put it all together. all passwords changed on setup no vpn, no open ports on router to nvr that i know of timestamp on that video clip is not there, just image i think.

    i restart my DS-7632N-E2/8P NVR every month or two with no issues. but just restarted it now and it like factory reset itself or something. asked to configure everything from new. like wtf?? what happened? any one know?? there are no cameras showing or anything now.
