    Hikvision DS-KB6003-WIP Wi-Fi Doorbell chime?

Mine added an “S” at the end of the time. No idea why. A second installation I did didn’t add anything at the end. It just looks normal

    Hikvision DS-KB6003-WIP Wi-Fi Doorbell chime?

I’d say it works about 50-70% of the time for me. I haven’t been able to find a way to make it more reliable. I assume the issue is on their end.

Interesting. I just looked at the spec sheet of the DB-120A-IW and I’m not sure how it’s different. Would be interesting to find out

Hik connecting DS-KB6003-WIP Wifi Door Cam to 7616NI-E2

I have also noticed the video to be much better from an NVR vs direct. Has anyone had an issue with the IP address changing on the doorbell cam? I have installed 2 of these now, and the IP address changes every night. Yes I have disabled dhcp, and to correct it I setup ip reservation in my...

Hik connecting DS-KB6003-WIP Wifi Door Cam to 7616NI-E2

Are you working with a Hikvision NVR? If so, just point the NVR to the cameras IP address in the camera setup section. Then setup motion in the NVR

Hik connecting DS-KB6003-WIP Wifi Door Cam to 7616NI-E2

Did you use the app to set it up FIRST??? During the setup process it says that the device is not activated. It will ask for an admin password. After giving it an admin password, then the device will activate. I don’t understand how you are able to get it connected to WiFi without activating it...

Hik connecting DS-KB6003-WIP Wifi Door Cam to 7616NI-E2

Is anyone having an issue with audio levels? If I’m just monitoring the video feed via either Hik-connect or iVMS-4500-4500 app, the audio is nice and clear and loud! I can hear a bird chirp a block away. However, when the button is pressed and a call is initiated, the volume becomes very low. I...

    Hikvision DS-KB6003-WIP Wi-Fi Doorbell chime?

Why would anyone use a 12V chime with a 24V transformer? It’s rated 12V for a reason! Why ignore that? The transformer, chime, and button (camera) are wired in series. That higher voltage will always be passing through the chime. It will fail! And when it does, that will “open” the circuit and...

How to get low quality video onto smartphone? (Like Arlo) - other apps?

Selecting fluent won’t get him what he wants. He’s asking about playback. This topic has been discussed before. I don’t think there’s a way to specify the playback source.

    Limiting EXIR coverage

some firmwares will allow you to rotate the image 90*. If your able to do that, then you can rotate the camera 90*, so that the aspect matches the intended coverage area. I believe this will help in your situation

That’s how I feel about IE. Just use it for the cams, then whatever you want for the rest!

backup PCNVR ivms 4200 recordings to google drive/photos?

No. I’m recording to a NVR, then backing up to a NAS. The method of pointing the NVR to the NAS, is the same as pointing the individual cameras to the NAS. The end result is the same. Just hide the NAS somewhere in the house and run an ethernet cable to it

backup PCNVR ivms 4200 recordings to google drive/photos?

I have my NVR recording “redundantly” to a NAS in the event of theft. I would imagine you could do the same. Just point your cameras at a NAS. There are simple tutorials to be found via google

    Preferred vendor for Hikvision

Hikvision “OEM” is a product with the Hikvision name on it, and Hikvision model number. The “generic” market, is that same product, (still manufactured by Hikvision) but with a different brand name on it, and a generic model number. Some companies even create their own model number. The supplier...

Camera language question and firmware upgrade

I think the only way to know for sure is to get your hands on the serial number. But obviously there’s no way of asking ahead of time from a supplier that has a lot of stock sitting on a shelf... maybe start with ordering one and check it out

Hikvision and Firefox. Fix found yet?

I believe in IE, I had to go to the security settings in internet options, and add the IP address of the cam or NVR to the “safe list”. Try doing that and see if it stops prompting you to install the plugin

Hikvision and Firefox. Fix found yet?

You should be prompted to install the plugin when attempting to login to the camera. See if you already have an outdated plugin already. Maybe you need to delete it, and then you will get the prompt...???

I just use IE for the cams and NVR only. Then use Firefox or chrome for web browsing. And just so you know, safari also works really good

How do you sync time with your cameras? I have 15

I still don’t understand why it needs adjustment twice a year. There are settings specifically for DST. You tell it when it occurs, and it does the rest. Set it, and forget it! Another reason to use a proper NVR. All the time settings reside in the NVR. The NVR handles the time on the cameras...

    Hikvision DS-KB6003-WIP Wi-Fi Doorbell chime?

Whenever I work on someone’s doorbell, I roll my eyes when I see speaker wire. It is so much more difficult to work with stranded wire when working with any component involved with a doorbell. Transformer, chime, and button all have a screw terminal waiting for a solid wire to be wrapped around...

How do you sync time with your cameras? I have 15

I see your point, but it seems more logical to set it to local time. There’s nothing to gain by setting it to anything else. Therefore, it would be a red flag in my mind if someone told me the time was off... configuring the time zone, and DST is easy and just one more step with all the other...

All components involved are designed to run on standard door bell wire. Single pair, 18AWG. There’s no such thing as “better”. just use the stuff meant for the job
