How do you sync time with your cameras? I have 15

I’m sure if you were supplying footage to the police they would prefer the correct time stamp

Cannot edit I Frame Interval on DS-2CD2042WD-I

I have seen many people say to match the iframe to the picture frame rate, which would cause a new iframe every second. This is how I have always set mine. I’ve never played with it for comparison though...

    Hikvision DS-KB6003-WIP Wi-Fi Doorbell chime?

I wo i would assume so. Hik makes the firmware. They just remove the name for the generic market. Also, Hik still handles the cloud connection even when sold in the generic market

    Hikvision DS-KB6003-WIP Wi-Fi Doorbell chime?

If you update to the latest firmware, then you can login via web browser and adjust the motion zone like any other Hik cam. As far as comparing to ring, the alerts have been an issue with Hikvision for a while now. Receiving a call on your phone when someone pushes the button is hit and miss...

    Hikvision DS-KB6003-WIP Wi-Fi Doorbell chime?

It’s not fair to compare these two images. The cameras are located in a different position. One is tucked up out of direct light, and the other is down low where it is exposed to more direct light. Of course the image is going to look different! I think the image looks just as good on my...

NVR Won't record Hik through switch

Did you add that camera to the NVR “manually” pointing at the correct IP address? The camera on the switch is going to have an IP address that’s relevant to your LAN. The cameras on the NVR will have addresses relevant to the NVR. Can you take a screen shot of the camera adding page? Maybe we...

    TFTP problem

Do you have the NVR connected directly to the computer? I have never been able to get that to work. I always use a switch between the computer and NVR. Worth a try

    NVR ISSUE

Can you try the VGA port? I have had strange issues with HDMI, but the VGA has always worked flawlessly

How do I view SD recordings from just the SD card?

I believe I have seen a download for “local playback” (or something like that) I will see if I can find it and link you to it. Otherwise, your options are to use the camera like you discovered already, or get yourself an NVR that manages all this for you!

DS-2CD2542FWD-IS vertical wall mount & rotate

They go in one at a time. I don’t recall if I have passed an alarm terminal through a wall opening, but I think I have one laying around I could measure for you

DS-2CD2542FWD-IS vertical wall mount & rotate

I drill 7/8” for the Ethernet jack. but why not just wait until you have it in hand to be sure?

Hik 2385 works great in browser but NVR can't see it

It’s purpose built! Of course it’s easier.

Hik 2385 works great in browser but NVR can't see it

Maybe it’s worth getting a proper NVR and be done with it

DS-2CD2542FWD-IS vertical wall mount & rotate

Cool, I didn’t realize that could be done. I have never seen “rotate mode” in the GUI. Could you explain where it is? Maybe only some have the option

DS-2CD2542FWD-IS vertical wall mount & rotate

I’m not familiar with that particular model, but most of the dome style cams have 3axis adjustment. So you should be able to twist the lens to allign it how you want. As far as the image, I have only seen the option to “flip” up/down or side to side. I don’t believe you can “rotate” the image 90...
