If you update to the latest firmware, then you can login via web browser and adjust the motion zone like any other Hik cam. As far as comparing to ring, the alerts have been an issue with Hikvision for a while now. Receiving a call on your phone when someone pushes the button is hit and miss... -

Did you add that camera to the NVR “manually” pointing at the correct IP address? The camera on the switch is going to have an IP address that’s relevant to your LAN. The cameras on the NVR will have addresses relevant to the NVR. Can you take a screen shot of the camera adding page? Maybe we... -

Do you have the NVR connected directly to the computer? I have never been able to get that to work. I always use a switch between the computer and NVR. Worth a try- Trax95008

I believe I have seen a download for “local playback” (or something like that) I will see if I can find it and link you to it. Otherwise, your options are to use the camera like you discovered already, or get yourself an NVR that manages all this for you! -

I’m not familiar with that particular model, but most of the dome style cams have 3axis adjustment. So you should be able to twist the lens to allign it how you want. As far as the image, I have only seen the option to “flip” up/down or side to side. I don’t believe you can “rotate” the image 90...
