    Quick update. Disabled direct-to-disk and everything is working fine now.

    I believe you are just suggesting things to try here so I am not saying you are wrong but BI support told me to lower my bitrate to 2000. I did not make a difference so I put it back to 4096. I had the same issue at 8192, 4096, and 2048.

    Thanks for the tip smiticans. I had tried running for a few days with the setting on and off and I didn't notice a difference. I have set it to disabled now so that I can rule the HD sleeping out for sure.

    I had the same problem with the driver I got from windows update. I have since updated to driver version 21.20.16.4551 and it seems to be working fine.
