    I think this hacking/reset thing has now been addressed. Make sure you have the latest firmware and you will be fine.

    No ports need to be opened. It all goes through Hik Connect so I guess your network is fine. I trust them. All my cameras are external so I am not concerned.

    No none. Not sure but I think most security concerns are with opening ports on a router and not with mobile devices. There must be a million + users using Hik apps.

    I normally use port forwarding for iVMS-4500 but for this install I’ve used Hik Connect & iVMS-4500. Maybe the Hik Connect is the problem o_O

    Yeah live view is fine using sub stream. Struggles a bit using main stream. Playback is also main stream and struggling so i'm thinking the internet connection cannot handle the amount of data. So reducing the frame rate might help. Also maybe reduce from 3mp to 2mp as there really appears...

    Works fine onsite using the web interface. I'm off-site using playback on ivms 4500.

    Ok interesting stuff. I installed a 3mp Hik Turbo system yesterday. Playback is so slow and not in real-time. Live view is fine on sub stream. I’m thinking it’s is because the bitcrate was left as fixed and not variable. So many different options.

    Rather than use 4200 have you tried connecting to the Nvr browser? Also maybe reduce the frame rate to 10fps.

    Ivms being used in the mobile network? If so you need to drop the resolution big time and reduce the frame rate. For ivms 4500 on the 4G network I use a sub stream resolution of 704 x 506 @ 6fps for casual viewing. If I need to switch to main stream I make sure I am on Wi-fi.

    Are you still pleased with your purchase sfnetwork? I am thinking of buying this camera as i cannot find the 8mp with a 4mm lens. Also i need a ant-vandal camera as it will be only installed at 2 meters high so not ideal for a turret.

    Sorry I forgot to post a link. It is very easy to do. Basically it allows you to log into the cameras in the same way you log into the nvr. And access a few more menus. SADP not showing cameras

    You enabled virtual host m8? Then log into the camera direct and the option should be there to disable IR leds.
