    No reset, reflashing the firmware with TFTP should get you back to defaults but if it's a Chinese version you could lose your English language menus and need to do the hex hack or purchase a CBX region change fix. Edit:TFTP not SFTP

    There seems to be a disconnect at times between the configuration settings of Hik NVRs and their cameras. Did you open the camera's settings in a browser and set the alarm up there as well?

    You'll love this one, I have one camera that was updated to 5.20 working with the backwards DST config. I down graded it back to 5.16 for testing and even after a reset will only pull the correct time when using the "correct" DST settings order (March/Second, November/First). "Herding cats"...

    In essence, Virtual Host fixed little if any of the primary reasons I was hoping for if what you say is correct. I haven't disconnected the Hikvison NVR reach around (loop back) here so I'm going from your test.
