it was likely just the last couple arguments on the line that were the culprit

    Constant Record - how?

That can be monitored; there are SMART parameters for it. I wouldn't say it's a certain death really, depending on the system

    5.2.9.1X - Main stream 1 FPS in UI3

My substreams are running at 7FPS while my mains are at 15FPS on some cameras (this is not by choice, it's a dumb Dahua limitation on some hardware).. on those cameras, when soloing a camera on UI3, the main stream displays at 7FPS instead of 15FPS. When playing back alerts/clips, they play at...

    smaller clip/alert thumbnails recently?

I used to use the Pause button when I was remoting into a system that had a crappy internet connection.

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

Object size 550, contrast 12, make time 0.1 is usually where I start. If there are nuisance alerts I start bumping up the contrast

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

If I turned it on for substreams the entire system gets unstable and does not record useful footage randomly. Sometimes for hours at a time on random cameras until the service is restarted. I'm also not sure at what point hardware decoding was added to the web server but I've now enabled that as...

    5.2.9.1X - Main stream 1 FPS in UI3

Asking for trouble? It's just a poor design choice. Turn off limit decoding to make the system function better if you're gonna sub-stream

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

H.265 on Dahua does create a bit of ghosting between i-frames for me on large pixel changes. I might be able to increase the bitrate to compensate, but it's not too important to me.

I think more of it is that he's an extremely busy one man show. There are point releases coming out almost daily.

He needs a proper ticketing system and support staff. But I doubt this will happen.

    5.2.9 - May 26, 2020 - Dual Stack IPv6 Support

I'm thinking just leave it off. Clearly can't be trusted to work properly (I had other clips that would just play back at 2x speed for no reason and run out the buffer) unless some hacks are put into the software, is what I'm gathering.

    5.2.9.1X - Main stream 1 FPS in UI3

I got a GMail bounceback when I tried to send mail to him the other day; said mail was coming in too fast to him from his customers or something. Sounds about right.

    5.2.9 - May 26, 2020 - Dual Stack IPv6 Support

It seems that disabling 'use RTSP timecode' may have fixed this one. the Hik cameras weren't so affected as the Dahuas.

    5.2.9 - May 26, 2020 - Dual Stack IPv6 Support

Yes it's been talked about in the sub-stream thread. Me and a handful of other users have it. I've been taking aim today at the NIC and Cisco switch that is attached to these particular NVRs that give me these issues (each with over 40 cameras, each pulling in streams from Dahua DVRs and IP...

I'm still having weird timestamp issues and 46 day clips. I've re-created the cameras and still this happens.
