    Thanks much, I will look at the macros. Any negative to using "&LAN"? And I can't seem to edit the WAN address at all in the Blue Iris settings/ Web Server (to use ddns for ex) any change disappears and original WAN address comes back.

    Thanks, those weren't the issue here (they refer to a short (10 sec? ) timeout.. not the one I experience at about 10 minutes. Web suggests a few very complicated ideas (like editing the web page on the server to play audio or video full time), nothing I can use. I'll cope with the timeout.

    My pulsing mostly disappeared with: H.264H, General, 15 FPS, CBR, 10,249 Bit Rate, I frame of 15 and highest resolution for the main stream, and same for sub with bit rate of 1024 with "d1" resolution.
