    Just to add, I tried re-adding my cameras and it tells me the device already exists. So they have literally restricted me from viewing my own devices.

    Its 64 channels only, does not really let you do much, live view, playback, web browse to your device. This will allow you to do what you need but again, settings of NVR all done through web. Discontinuing because they would rather milk users for extra paid licenses after 64 channels on DSS...

    Those cameras never reached the market where I am, would have loved to get one of these. Im not to pushed on the deterrent lights. The new Tioc is still a 3 series so you dont get all the IVS functions as you would on that one.

    Two possible issues, new XVR's will have 2 BNC inputs on an AD chip. The two inputs must have the same format camera on them or you will see invalid camera format on the live view.     New Dahua GUI can do this from NVR or IPC, so a camera like the tioc could act as your sounder. A expensive sounder but would tie in nicely and easily

    Dahua are planning on making the function better I have been told by their reps. Also wont just be on 5 series and above. Plan is to go to 3 series too. Expect it to get better over the next year.
