    Swann NVR & PoE Switch

In theory it should.. but I've heard people say that the PoE ports on the NVRs only address one camera per port. Regardless if it's direct, or through a switch. Do you have all the hardware now? Connect it all the way you want and try it before you install.

    Network Video Recorder: Illegal Login

Mine is a custom built linux based router/firewall... I can define specific logging of whatever I want on it. You won't be able to get the same logging features out of most store-bought routers. However, not to worry..now that you've changed the default port from 8000 to something else, you...

You can move the "Database" and "Folders" to another drive in the Clips & Archiving tab if you have more room somewhere else than C: Don't forget the other folders listed under the Select To Edit option box in the Folders section.

    Network Video Recorder: Illegal Login

To the best of my knowledge, the HTTP service of the NVR doesn't post exceptions like that. The SDK port definitely does. I just tried both on my own and that is what happened... no exception messages from bad HTTP logins... but they DO come from bad client software (SDK, port 8000) logins...

    Network Video Recorder: Illegal Login

Most important thing..change password from default (and pick a good one).. second.. don't use the default port. You've got those both covered now anyway. That IP address IS an internal private IP..but its most likely spoofed.. so doesn't mean much. You sure it was a HTTP login failure, or was...

Get still image through URL from Hikvision NVR [SOLVED]

@Artanis Does that give you a main stream picture or sub stream picture? I can only get sub stream low resolution pictures that way from my NVR no matter what URL is used. Directly from the cameras, I get high resolution main stream pictures.

why is Amazon constantly accessing my DS-2CD2032-I and is it causing my NV to stop

Re: why is Amazon constantly accessing my DS-2CD2032-I and is it causing my NV to sto DDNS, UPNP, NAT probably will only be useful to you if you plan on making your camera accessible over the internet. If so, google those terms to find out about them. FTP can be used to send snapshots to your...

why is Amazon constantly accessing my DS-2CD2032-I and is it causing my NV to stop

Re: why is Amazon constantly accessing my DS-2CD2032-I and is it causing my NV to sto The IP is one of the amazonaws (Amazon Application Web Services) group. I saw the same traffic. As azetat said, shut off that EZVIZ service. There are other things to shut off too if you aren't using them...

HOw to turn off IR without changing camera to day mode

I find when enabling/disabling the IR Light checkbox, to get it to take effect right away I have to cycle the camera in & out of day/night mode. Never had to reboot. (2032-I cams).

Question about risk with port forwarding

Change the defaults right away. Not doing so is a very bad idea. If you are going to give him access, do at least these things: - Change the default port numbers for the services he'll access. - Make a separate account on the camera(s) with read-only access, and give him only that account to...

With the 1/3 exposure time, it's way more better than IR, is it harmfull for camera?

Re: With the 1/3 exposure time, it's way more better than IR, is it harmfull for came Nice and clear, no bugs. Because, it looks like, this camera's IR lights are off, and the streetlamp or whatever that is ahead on the same side of the street, is providing enough light for good capture.

    Logins

I had a couple show up too back in April, both from the 192.168.x.x private ip range. None of which I've ever used. I since locked it down a lot better. From what I can tell, it's a login attempt on the SDK service port (8000 by default). Such as is used by the remote apps like iVMS. You...

    network usage

How many cameras are active on BI? I'm more inclined to believe it's CPU loading that's hurting your streaming, except for the fact you said bridging two adapters fixed it before.

identical camera with identical settings inconsistency image quality.

Hi .. Not much help, I know.. but I have the exact same thing happening with the same cameras. It seems like a white-balance problem, triggered by the amount of sunlight, and huge amount of GREEN in the picture (grass in our cases). When the sun is high, and lots of green grass... it goes to...

BI and Swann IP Cameras (HD) - Specifically nhd-806

There is a short thread about it here that mentions an RTSP request address for its main stream. You should be able to get it going in BI using that info, provided you've got the cam configured on your network at least.

Hikvision NVR connecting to Amazon AWS. Why?

Yeah I've seen that option in cameras directly, but not on this NVR. I'm not holding my breath for a firmware update anytime soon for mine. Anyway, they are staying blocked for the forseeable future. Thanks.

Hikvision NVR connecting to Amazon AWS. Why?

Old thread I know.. But I just googled "NVR + amazonaws" and this thread was the first link. I was trying to get to the bottom of the same thing @alastairstevenson noticed. Did you ever figure out any more about this? I have a Swann NVR..which you may as well call a Hikvision...

    DS-CD2032 FTP Issues

The fact that the test file uploads proves the network is ok... Are you able to see the activity logs on the ftp server to see if it's actually logging in to upload a snapshot or not even trying?
