New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Dude, this doorbell I tell ya... it's been quite a journey for me so far with my Reolink PoE doorbell. As of now, I have a lot of things working well, except for live viewing of the mainstream via BlueIris. Live viewing is choppy. Recordings are perfect. Viewing the RTSP/RTMP stream via VLC is...

    Onvif 2 MQTT?

Thanks for the heads up on this! I saw my HA discovered this but I was reluctant to set it up based on some reviews I read. Maybe I’ll give it a shot, but, for now this cam2mqtt is working flawlessly

    Onvif 2 MQTT?

@Grisu2, thank you so much. I used your recipe here, and my doorbell events are now working like a charm. No BlueIris involved at all ... just Reolink Doorbell --> cam2mqtt --> Home Assistant. It's a beaut

Reolink E1 Pro PTZ doesn't work on Blue Iris (offical Response)

Just wanted to touch back on this -- I've been using two Amcrest Wi-Fi Cameras (Amazon.com : 2-Pack Amcrest UltraHD 2K (3MP/2304TVL) WiFi Video Security IP Camera with Pan/Tilt, Dual Band 5ghz/2.4ghz, Two-Way Audio, 3-Megapixel @ 20FPS, Wide 90° Viewing Angle & Night Vision IP3M-941B (Black) ...

Reolink E1 Pro PTZ doesn't work on Blue Iris (offical Response)

That's great to know! These cameras will be isolated specifically to their own VLAN and SSID, with rules applied specifically to that subnet to stop any devices within that subnet from being able to reach out to the internet, and internally will only be able to talk directly to the BI server...

Reolink E1 Pro PTZ doesn't work on Blue Iris (offical Response)

I totally get that. I am okay with having some frames dropped here and there, etc. It's just to monitor the cat and dog. The other 6 cameras in my setup are all hardwired and work great. I just feel weird about having cameras hardwired and permanently mounted inside the house at all times. This...

Reolink E1 Pro PTZ doesn't work on Blue Iris (offical Response)

    Something like this? Amazon.com : 2-Pack Amcrest UltraHD 2K (3MP/2304TVL) WiFi Video Security IP Camera with Pan/Tilt, Dual Band 5ghz/2.4ghz, Two-Way Audio, 3-Megapixel @ 20FPS, Wide 90° Viewing Angle & Night Vision IP3M-941B (Black) : Camera & Photo

Reolink E1 Pro PTZ doesn't work on Blue Iris (offical Response)

RMA is already underway my dude. Also FWIW, most of my testing was done with the Ethernet cable plugged in. I am cool with avoiding Reolink at all costs, I just think your wording/delivery was poor; you basically stated that I purchased an unsupported device and then wanted a refund, defending...

Reolink E1 Pro PTZ doesn't work on Blue Iris (offical Response)

For 1, there was no snipping. There was a simple response to a simple assertion. The assertion was: "...poor reolink.. getting rma from users who want functions which where never supported..." The fact that they have an article stating how to add the E1 Pro to BI, and that Reolink support's...

Reolink E1 Pro PTZ doesn't work on Blue Iris (offical Response)

Wow -- so now you are faulting me because I trusted what a company said? Hang on I need to go make some popcorn, this is getting good.

Reolink E1 Pro PTZ doesn't work on Blue Iris (offical Response)

I didn't add the camera to blue iris to improve anything -- I manage all my cameras and recordings under the BI hood. That's my NVR. Reolink says you can use the E1 Pro with the Blue Iris NVR. If I am getting a constant "No Signal" screen, then it's going back home. I don't understand why there...

Reolink E1 Pro PTZ doesn't work on Blue Iris (offical Response)

User8963 -- here is an article direct from Reolink talking about adding this specific model camera to BlueIris: https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360003601394-How-to-Add-Reolink-Cameras-to-Blue-Iris You might want to do a little bit of research before making such claims.

It seems like it's hit or miss for different people -- I already have the RMA underway

Reolink E1 Pro PTZ doesn't work on Blue Iris (offical Response)

Best configuration yet -- SO CLOSE ... but no cigar ... the only way I can get the stream to even begin to load in BI with these settings is to set the camera into 1080P mode, with the least amount of FPS, as well as smallest bitrate, and even then it'll constantly choke up and say "no signal"...

Reolink E1 Pro PTZ doesn't work on Blue Iris (offical Response)

Any suggestions for what I should get? I need a WiFi Camera with Pan/Tilt and 2-way Audio that will work with BI. Thanks!

Reolink E1 Pro PTZ doesn't work on Blue Iris (offical Response)

Spuls, here is one example: I attached 4 pictures: 1.) A successful inspection via port 8000 2.) The settings Blue Iris chooses based on the inspection 3.) The "No Signal" screen -- just as a reminder, the camera gets added, doesn't throw any port or connection errors, and even all the...

Reolink E1 Pro PTZ doesn't work on Blue Iris (offical Response)

I have tried so many different ways to get my E1 Pro working with BI. The PTZ functions work, lol, but I cannot get the video stream to work to save my life. I'm doing an RMA request. Hopefully it goes through!

Reolink E1 Pro PTZ doesn't work on Blue Iris (offical Response)

Mickiete, can you please share your settings? My E1 Pro will not work in BI. It gets added to BI just fine, no socket errors, no connection errors, just a "No Signal" message.

    Annke 4K + Blue Iris = Lag

This is one of the reasons I went the BlueIris route -- if you buy a 4K NVR, then you know the manufacturer is going to spec the NVR (processor / memory) to be able to handle the 4K stream. I'd imagine that if you are using an NVR that wasn't spec'ed to handle 4K, then you put a 4K stream to it...

Is your NVR rated to be able to handle a 4K stream(s)?

    Annke 4K + Blue Iris = Lag

@Fish Arndt a lot has changed since my last post ... I am now on a bare metal box [i7 6700, 16GB DDR4, 128 SSD OS drive, 1TB HDD Recordings drive] and am utilizing the Intel + VPP option, and have the Dual NIC configuration in play. My 4K problems are gone. As far as your fuzziness, where are...

    Newbie with problems

@looney2ns That's a shame to hear... I got the Annke 4K because of this video: / Also on that YouTube video, in the comments, I see he recommends the Reolink RLC-410-5MP as a good 5MP camera. Do you suggest this model? If so, I'd be happy to return all my Annke cameras in lieu of the Reolink...

    Newbie with problems

SouthernYankee, thanks for being blunt. And yes, you are correct -- I am not using substreams for motion detection. I have my substream set up for 24/7 continuous recording, and I have the main stream set up for recording on trigger, and I am using BI motion detection within the main stream as...

    Newbie with problems

FYI for anyone else who might be having this problem, I may have some sort of solution. I lowered the "Max. Bitrate" setting on the camera down to 5120 and the issue has gone away [for now].
