Best 4k Colour Night Vision Turret Camera

Yes, as I've mentioned and demonstrated many times, if you want the full color to be the best it can be, definitely add light, especially for those targets on the edge of your capture zones. You'll find otherwise that details get mushy. With that said, as I've shown, even small amounts of...

    Worlds First Review - Dahua - IPC-Color4K-X / DH-IPC-HFW5849T1-ASE-LED - Full Color 4K Camera

Haha, thought I missed that didn't you :) I'm pleased to say that there are some FW improvements making their way into the new S2 / S3 variants, which while based on iterative chipsets do rely on a lot of the same back end algorithms that we've discussed here, fed back and looked to improve :)

    Review: Dahua 8MP / 4K 25x Starlight IR PTZ - PTZ5A4K-25X / SD5A825GA-HNR

Just a quick update. I'm still working on this one RE: issues seen in compression and firmware. I'll be testing a new build of this shortly and reporting back. Working closely with Dahua so I can try and get this cam turned around into the beast I know it can be, stay tuned !

    Review: Dahua 8MP / 4K 25x Starlight IR PTZ - PTZ5A4K-25X / SD5A825GA-HNR

SD5A825 is the one I would HOLD on recommending for now until issue is resolved

    Review: Dahua 8MP / 4K 25x Starlight IR PTZ - PTZ5A4K-25X / SD5A825GA-HNR

I wouldn't recommend buying it yet until I see some movement from Dahua on what is going to be done here. While SOC is the gating factor for sure, that doesn't mean the underlying Web OS 5 cannot be tuned to be less resource hungry OR that other functions can be lowered in priority for the SOC...

    Review: Dahua 8MP / 4K 25x Starlight IR PTZ - PTZ5A4K-25X / SD5A825GA-HNR

Yes it is present there as well BUT its worse on the SD5A825 due to the resolution (4K) and the impact on SOC for compression in real-time. The 5A425 I can tune to make the issue you're seeing bearable and in mostly non-existent (dialing in to the max extent but not breaching SOC resources) but...

    Review: Dahua 8MP / 4K 25x Starlight IR PTZ - PTZ5A4K-25X / SD5A825GA-HNR

I'm actually trying a new June Beta as well but unfortunately this also has the same issues. Quick update on the issues I'm seeing and status. Currently in testing this thoroughly there is definitely a limitation due to SOC being used on this cam. Specifically in its impact on processing into...

PTZ question for any of the newer Dahua auto tracking models.

Yes I’m testing that FW on the SD5A825 and it’s NOT good. So much so that with the feedback I provided to Dahua Dev / Engineering they’ve removed it from the Dahua site. Therefore I would advise against it @Tinman

    Review: Dahua 8MP / 4K 25x Starlight IR PTZ - PTZ5A4K-25X / SD5A825GA-HNR

All, I’m back in the saddle again with another review, this time for the EmpireTech PTZ5A4K-25X / SD5A825GA-HNR. Thanks to @EMPIRETECANDY for providing the unit in return for an unbiased no holds barred review. Good to see a new 8K on the block for testing and this time one of the first to...

Worlds First Review - Dahua DH-IPC-PFW5849-A180-E2 - Dual Lens 180 Degree Full Color 4K (8MP Stitched) Camera

Yes both cameras are really good. The A180 is phenomenal as a 'Spotter' for your PTZ's so if people have those in the mix (hope you do) then consider throwing the A180 in there to assist. Great combo

PTZ question for any of the newer Dahua auto tracking models.

Hey @Tinman, if you're talking about PTZ controls in the Dahua web interface (or even Dahua mobile apps) then YES, the experience certainly is 'disconnected' for want of a better description between you pressing or holding the controls to it actually moving. I test a lot of cameras and can...

Are there any IP Cameras with stereo input?

Yes absolutely for broadcast production, I've used a number of PTZ's when deploying multiple cams between areas, rooms etc and live events. Like @looney2ns mentioned though, not cheap, especially if you want decent sensors with low noise and good quality output

Worlds First Review - Dahua DH-IPC-PFW5849-A180-E2 - Dual Lens 180 Degree Full Color 4K (8MP Stitched) Camera

Sorry for the delay in response (see my status update for background there) but in answer to your question, a) YES I highly recommend Samsung Pro Endurance, did a test on multiple SD cards a year or so back and they are my preferred that I use in personal and deployment purposes, b) the E-PTZ...
