    I did, I got a local sim to work eventually as well as the world sim. No idea what was going on, it just worked after multiple attempts.

    Hi Michael, I would get some older versions of the fimware from your supplier and apply them sequentially. You wont get from June to the latest in one update. I have experienced this with this model.

    Distortion on this type of camera is usually caused by the lens not sitting in the camera properly. Have come across this numerous times. Removing the glue and reseating the lens may help you.

    Update over rs232, run a tftp server with all of the composite files for the camera in a correctly name folder, Start up camera, Stop boot up in terminal software using ***** type "lip 192.168.1.108" press enter "sip 192.168.1.200" press enter (this will be your computers ip)...

    Dahua IPC unbricking / recovery over serial UART and TFTP simplest command is just press ******* on boot up from the terminal software and then type eracfg and press enter

    You need to flash firmware on over RS232. Even trying just the "eracfg" command on bootup may solve this
