Bench Testing a new SD50430U-HN. Not working properly..

I have a POE injector i use to test most cams. It's 48V and .35 amps. It's not powering up the cam. The power brick AC adapter they sent me is AC24 volts and 3 amps with a plug on one end suposed to plug in the cam. The cam didn't come with a plug. Just bare wires. I can only use the web...

Bench Testing a new SD50430U-HN. Not working properly..

 Just got this toy today but have no experience with PTZ cams. I have the RJ45 plugged in to an NVR 5416-16P-4kS2. There are other wires for alarm, audio and power but not connected for now... I thought the POE on the NVR would be enough... On the camera interface the protocol...

Will Q-see (Dahua) IP cameras work with Dahua NVR?

What fenderman and nayr said... I am using a few older Costco Q-see cams in a Dahua NVR 5816-16P-4KS2 without any issues. We use a Cyber Power UPS also.... good insurance...!

help needed with motion detect setup

Welcome to the forum.... What are you finetuning..? Sensitivity.? Threshold..? I've found that on mine I have to adjust the sensitivity so that shadows or flickering lights don't set it off constantly. Newer NVR and cams have "tripwire" and "intrusion" which are quite a bit more accurate...

ddns set up any other settings for my Dahua?

Not an expert on this subject but some things to check according to my manual: In the network settings under domain name usually the default domain # is the MAC address of your NVR unless you've put in a custom one. Check that for starters.. After set up did you press the "TEST" button at...

    signal loss

I believe when you do a firmware update your settings go to default. You might check to see if the NVR (I have a Dahua so your mileage may vary) has a "auto maintain" setting. Not sure what it's called on HIKs. The default is to auto reboot every so often. Could be the issue....??

    Dahua DHI-NVR4208-4K

There are usually 3 fans in these model Dahua NVR's. The CPU, power supply, and case fan. Any one of them could be noisy. They are 2 pin so they run at a constant speed. You might get away with taking out a case fan but I wouldn't recommend removing the others.. :( A case fan is pretty...

    Dahua DHI-NVR4208-4K

I don't have an issue with Dahua NVRs but you didn't tell us what you are looking for in an NVR. If you go the Ebay route ask questions to the Ebay seller to protect yourself in case you get not what was advertised. Even though they post "All Sales Final" you can still usually return...

    Confusing NVR4208-4K Insufficient HDD Space

I have the same settings as you do. By the way FYI you can set the "auto logout" to zero and you won't have to log in every few minutes. You might have known that but anyways............

    Confusing NVR4208-4K Insufficient HDD Space

I have the same message on mine also. It's normal. I have 3 4TB hard drives on a NVR5416.

    Am I Overloading NVR?

I was a little foggy on those settings. My bitrate on CBR stays around 10000 or so. On VBR it goes down to around 2500. Thanks for the clearing that up Nayr.

    Am I Overloading NVR?

Now I'm confused. I have all mine set to CBR. What does that mean Del Boy..? "Not optimising your recordings.." Just curious if I have mine set correctly.. (NVR5416 w 4MP cams....)

    AliExpress hassles

One time after I placed an order on Alibaba my credit card company sent me an email with a notice of suspicious activity on my card. The transaction wouldn't go through until I verified it through the email link. I'm glad some companies are looking out for us..

Dahua NVR4208-8p-4K / access to cams

That is a little strange... On my NVR 5416 I go to Main Menu - Camera - Image - Day & Light and then click on "Auto" In the Config file menu there is Day, Night, Normal or Switch by Period. I keep mine on Normal. I didn't see config1 2 or 3. Hmmmm.

What is the best PTZ Ip camera that Amazon sells in the $800 range?

If I had experience with a PTZ I'd try to help you out. If you are new here try and listen more instead of being defensive. Maybe just apologize and rephrase the question or something. I don't know. Either way you'll get better information. There is a wealth of knowledge on this forum...

Dahua NVR4208-8p-4K / access to cams

I apologize if I'm repeating what Nayr is saying but in Firefox I type in the NVR adress 192.168.1.xxx (or whatever your local is) and I get the web page for the NVR. You might need to download a plugin or something..... I can't remember. Anyways this will connect to your NVR wireless. Most...

Some (Dahua) QC8816 NVR fan noise louder than others.

I got the fan at Frys Electronics but there is no link to that fan online. As your power supply is different you would still need to take the fan out and check it's specs like xgsound mentioned. Make sure the fan is pushing air out when you hook it up...

    Random Dahua questions

One way to get 12mm is this IPC-HDBW5421E-Z. It's a motorized vari-focal lens. (2.8mm - 12mm) Price probably won't be very cost effective for your budget.

    NVR4208-4K Motion Detection Playback Problem

If I remember correctly when you give a seller bad feedback, they have a chance to dispute it and make it right. Sometimes the only way to get their attention is with really bad honest feedback.

Convert .dav files and preserve audio

My version is 3.210 but I have an older version on another machine that has this option also. When I want to get a clip off the NVR to a usb stick there is an option under "File Format" where you can choose .dav or .asf (older ones have avi) Is that what your're trying to do...?
  29. J

Convert .dav files and preserve audio

Doesn't your NVR have the option to output the file as an .asf instead of .dav ? I might be on the wrong track here... I haven't used audio yet.. :)

Sorry.. :( It wouldn't hurt to contact the Ebay seller. At least let them know what happened. Also on the feedback form. You never know.
