    The one thing I'll say about domes is they seem to be more waterproof. Turrets seems to get water intrusion and fog/condense the lens from the inside way more often.

    Yea I realized that pretty quick, but his listing doesn't use IPC in it, unless it's searching something else, infact, nothing comes up if I search IPC-SD59230U-HNI That was just a typo on the forum. Copy pasting was formatting weird.

    Wait what? Don't you mean an improperly configured cam can be accessible, I don't see how a camera on your network can allow access to the rest of your network. If the camera were accessible the traffic should be routed to there and only there.

    Yea I've started paying attention to the actual sensor size and light capture ability. Like the 2mp starlight ptz has a bigger sensor and obviously better light capture than the closest 4mp non SL version. Does this translate to daytime quality too though.

    OK, then it would take multiple cams per port, but it's effectively no different then an external switch with the cameras and router on it, connected to the lan port. So no real reason to buy the POE version since it's less available and I don't need it.

    Also, do you guys know if the POE ports in the back act like a regular port. As in all your cameras feed into a switch and then you uplink the switch to one of the POE ports? As in, say, 16 cameras end up connected to one port. Just thinking it would be nice to have the NVR as a roadblock...
