    UniFi-Video Products End of Life...

Ah, I was confusing the AP Pro with the AC Pro. Yeah, 3 of my access points are now LTS...the three newest ones I've added to my house.

Their In-Wall Pro is now EOL as of a few weeks ago. The AP Pros are not (yet).

    UniFi-Video Products End of Life...

Same for their In-Wall AP Pros. I have 6 APs in my house, 3 are the In-Wall Pros and I just bought one less than a year ago. Probably going to go with Ruckus on the next go-round.

Adding a NetHDD for Hikvision Cameras

Cool. I was using FreeNAS on an old J1900 machine that I was running pfSense. Interesting that you used SMB vs NFS with Linux.

Adding a NetHDD for Hikvision Cameras

Thanks. I actually have a bunch of those cameras (though I'm still on V5.6.3). I might try it with those and see if it works.

Adding a NetHDD for Hikvision Cameras

Awesome. What camera is that? And what NAS are you using? Here's my camera info. I've tried connecting it via SMB and NFS and get the same results.

Adding a NetHDD for Hikvision Cameras

I've read some older posts about there being a cap on the size of hard drive that can be added and I've read some other posts with people having multiTB drives. I have a Hikvision LPR and I have a 200Gb micro SD card in it. With as much traffic that goes by, it only holds info for a couple...

Use Shareable Windows HD for Hikvision Cam?

I'm running Blue Iris on a Windows 10 machine. I have a Hikvision DS-2CD7A26G0/P-IZHS hooked up for LPR duties. The camera is recording video to BI just like all the other cameras, but I have a micro SD card in it that is storing the license plate info. The card I'm using is 200GB, but it...

    4k IP camera HD space

Is there a special way you figured this out, or just ran your system and saw what your start and finish size on disk was after an hour?

    LPR / Security Cam duty

Those pop up on ebay for under $500 from time to time. I was able to pick one up a couple weeks ago. Still playing around with my setup though.

What are your goals/needs and how much money do you want to spend? I started out with a Costco Lorex system, but after a year upgraded to Blue Iris and never looked back.

As b0bthebuilder mentioned, I have all my Hikvision camera substreams setup that way.

Why am I getting an overallocated message in UI3?

I did a "Repair DB" and it seems to be normal now.

Why am I getting an overallocated message in UI3?

I have an 8TB WD Purple where I've limited size to 7200GB and checked "Do NOT monitor free space". The drive is working fine and I'm getting no messages under the status tab, I'm just getting this message in the UI3. Any ideas?

Ah. Making headway. All IP cameras on their own subnet/VLAN along with Blue Iris server. Able to still use UI3 through subnets.

Yeah, that's basically my setup with an addition with a Managment VLAN which has all my switches, access points, server IPMI, etc on it. My DMZ VLAN is all of my TVs, Rokus, Chromecasts, etc. My IoT/Utility VLAN has my thermostats, Smartthings, Ring, etc. I did a Maintenance VLAN which is...

Yeah, I overbuilt/repurposed a computer for pfSense. 3.5Ghz/32GB of RAM. The system is overkill. It's on a 10GbE set of switches. My BI machine and all the cameras are on my security LAN.

Nice work! I've broken down my home network into multiple subnets. It works great and I love that it's really super organized.

Where to hide LPR cameras on my property?

I'm looking at setting up my inconspicuous LPR setup. Probably going to weld up a mount and cover it with something like this fake rock with a hole cut in one side. Put it out by the street around some bushes. Hopefully it'll blend in well enough.

Is there a way to add more storage folders in BI?

I missed this in my search. Thanks. Basically the same thing just a year ago. Honestly, I had forgotten about the help file. Thanks. I've used it before in windows without any issues. I may just try it again for BI. When I started my setup in BI4 with just a couple 4MP cameras, the...

Is there a way to add more storage folders in BI?

Well, I went ahead and changed the names of each folder and assigned each folder to a drive. This gives me 10 folders (one for each drive) for storage. For some reason, my cameras don't see my L drive/storage folder.

Is there a way to add more storage folders in BI?

I have a few WD Purple drives in my system. I had each camera recording continuously to one each drive. Basically, one drive has one folder where clips are stored. (Clips and Archiving -> Aux 1 file assigned to hard drive M. Clips and Archiving -> Aux 2 file assigned to hard drive N. Etc)...

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

I was going to but a weird thing happened. I went to roll back to 5.2.7.1 and it wouldn't take it. Not sure if there was something wrong with my backup file or what. I ended up re-installing Blue Iris and imported my 5.2.7.2 backup. All seems to work as advertised now.
