Yeah, Lorex will claim they have not tested your transformer, thus claim it's not compatible. Maybe temporarily use the USB power to rule out the transformer as a contributor.
Also, if you do use a transformer not connected through an existing mechanical or electronic chime...

Sounds like your phone tries to automatically switch back to your home wifi when it detects no internet connection when connected to the device wifi.
Have you tired to disable automatically reconnect to your home wifi?
I run a GPS+PPS Stratum 0 NTP source for <$50 on my local network and a firewall rule to redirect all client NTP requests to the my local NTP server.
Ensures all clients have the exact same time (<2 usec offset/jitter) even when WAN is down, and avoids flooding public NTP servers with NTP...
I've had two older WolfBox 850's (4K+1K) rear view mirror cams since December 2022.
I picked them up half price on Amazon Prime day.
Only issue was it took about a year to finally get them to update the firmware after I reported multiple times the on display compass heading for NE (would...
I'd be interested if anyone has any experience with the Starlink Mini. I am considering having Santa deliver one to my sister and BnL, who spend a lot of time on the road in their Class A Thor motor coach.
Hurricane prep completed!
Not necessarily in order of importance. food, water, gas, cash, tequila, beer, ammo, tp
I'll likely be hosting relatives from St. Pete.
I do not have a single native HomeKit compatible home automation device, so I run an instance of Homebridge on a box running Ubuntu.
Allows me to add my security system, lights, and cameras into HomeKit. Also allows me to get automatic live thumbnails of my doorbell cameras on my Apple TV when...
Here is a more detailed description posted on Bleeping Computer September 18, 2024, including the list of manufacturers affected.

Both were good citizens on neighborhood watch patrol. Second was taking pictures of suspicious activity with a cell phone and on his way to report it to a LEO.

Option 1: Open source enterprise class firewall software pfSense® - World's Most Trusted Open Source Firewall can set WAN VLAN tagging. Has a bit of a learning curve, but is infinitely more flexible than consumer [redacted]. You will need a separate WiFi AP, or repurpose an existing router as...
@robpur
With a little effort, you can likely get the registered address of the vehicle and mail :poop: back with a letter stating you are returning something they lost, no reward or thanks required.
Those reports came out during a time when Samsung devices were catching on fire on airplanes and causing great bodily injury. So Apple likely performed a risk assessment on current products and elected to reduce the liability risk. As a shareholder, that was the correct move IMHO. If you believe...
@Heavyopp
I don't use BI or UI3, but you only need one instance of Tailscale running behind or on your firewall if you advertize sub-net routes.
Then you can access any device using the private IP address assigned by your local network (not the TS assigned IP), including any web applications...
iOS for the win!
Android is a Google product. Android phone OEMs have no financial incentive to update their own version with apps/skins/etc for older devices after your initial purchase, so you may be stuck with an older OS with security vulnerabilities. The exception is Google branded...
Probably going to need something like a blank vertical address plaque. Then mount the new doorbell camera to it.
While not aesthetic, I simply used a metal single gang box blank.
Reportedly, that's how Stuxnet was introduced.
Tech savvy adults may have enough common sense not to insert it into a computer, but kids may be easily tempted.

3. Automatic VPN on demand when off trusted WiFi.
4. Access your entire home network or configure ACLs to limit access. (NAS, cams, security system, lighting...
You're lucky it did not burn your house down. Might have even been a contributor.
Now you have an expensive tree remove bill.
Shows the importance of proper grounding.
Prevent theft and piracy.
Same argument broadcasters are using to justify DRM on ATSC 3.0 OTA broadcasts. The real motive is to push cord cutters to paid TV services, where the broadcasters receive huge amounts of $ from retransmission fees.

Exactly why I don't have a Li-Ion battery boost device in the trunk of my car, on top of the gas tank.
Instead, I have a Super Cap battery boost device. Takes 3 min to charge off someone else's car. Comes with Scotty Kilmer seal of approval.
