Thief caught on camera at my house

Seen fox take toys like that too. You should be able to get that 5442 to look MUCH better. Especially with added IR. Maybe post settings. Looks like some glare too.

Blue Iris monitoring through Uptime Kuma

There's this also that might be of interest: https://github.com/magapp/blueiriscmd I have the luxury of having BI up on a third display at my desk 24/7 so real-time monitoring is kinda easy for the most part.

Alert sound question (brain dead and can't remember)

You'd think that it would be right around there somewhere. :idk: I can't think of anything else but I don't know the Android side well.

Alert sound question (brain dead and can't remember)

Maybe depends on which app. It's 6 as above in IOS.

Alert sound question (brain dead and can't remember)

How about in the app > gear for settings > 6 lines down - In-app alert sounds switch button.

Alert sound question (brain dead and can't remember)

Also to set different notification sounds individually for each cam, in the BI camera settings > Alert tab > On alert > Edit or Add > Sound pull-down > choose whatever sound.

    IR Illuminator or Camera Upgrade

No, same one. I have other lighting in the yard there that I mentioned that you see some of in that image but it's mostly just that one Tendelux Di10 for that camera/view. They do have another Di20 that's higher power for a little more but you don't need that for the area that you showed.

    IR Illuminator or Camera Upgrade

Bottom line, they put out a bunch of light all over and greatly improve the overall view even with a good camera. Well worth the relatively little money in my book. I didn't really make the point that I intended to well with the last image. Which was that, at least with the Dahua cams, I get...

    Skycam rig finally pays off.

    Very cool capture.

    Drone swarms in the northeast?

I'd be tempted to test whether they're armored. :picfail:

    IR Illuminator or Camera Upgrade

Camera view close to yours as far as scene/distances. This is an earlier version of the same camera recommended above (which are very good). Harder for me to do since I have a bunch of cams all overlapping and I have things set up that way as far as exposure/IR on or off, etc., that I had to...

    IR Illuminator or Camera Upgrade

I don't that I can put my hands on quickly but I'll try to remember and post some after it get dark here tonight.

    IR Illuminator or Camera Upgrade

The angle is much wider than 90 degrees. It's very wide in both dimensions (side-to-side and top-to-bottom). I have to tip some of mine way up to keep from blowing out the scene where they are and they still light things up all over. In the middle of those two I'd expect that it will light up...

IR LEDs not working on Dahua camera

Should have said too, maybe try doing a reset.

IR LEDs not working on Dahua camera

Odd... They use the same model number for two different cams. https://www.dahuasecurity.com/de/products/All-Products/Network-Cameras/WizSense-Series/3-Series/TiOC/IPC-HFW3849T1-AS-PV Yeah, not sure in that case. Could be a failure of the sensor or IR circuit/LEDs.

IR LEDs not working on Dahua camera

Well, there's your trouble... that's a full-color camera. There are no IR leds. There are white LEDs that you should be able to turn on and the active deterrence lights that should flash when triggered if set to do so.

IR LEDs not working on Dahua camera

Sounds likely. Which camera? Can you completely cover or put the cam in a dark place to make sure that the sensor isn't getting light? A few times I've thought that I had a sensor covered but it was still leaking light through.

BI Changing Web Server Address Randomly

Do you have Bind exclusively checked? I've had times in the past where for whatever reason (firewall issues in my case) BI doesn't see the main IP as good so it falls to another available interface or an IP that it's seen before and stored in that list.

Blue Iris monitoring through Uptime Kuma

I use Uptime Kuma to monitor BI but all that I do is test via HTML (and for some key cameras and use it at times to monitor other problem cams, and for network and other internal/external services). Don't have much need to do more than that myself but can appreciate the utility of deeper...

    IR Illuminator or Camera Upgrade

Hard to say how much not knowing the camera and what adjustments are possible, etc., but, generally, likely would help. Pretty much any camera benefits from more light so even if you end up with another it's not money wasted. These are good and cheap enough to try...

    Alert if BlueIris isn't working

I use Uptime Kuma to monitor various internal/external services. Very good but some effort to set up. If you have Home Assistant already running then not too bad. Not really worth it for just BI alone but if you have more then take a look.

Saw that too. First I've heard anything about.

Renaming / moving cameras for testing

They age out as any others. Don't think that it matters as far as the database goes. Seems to just rely on the name. You'll have old clips by that name showing that cam, new clips with that name showing the new. That's my recollection from deleting/renaming/cloning and renaming/having cams...

CEO Of UnitedHealthcare Killed In Targeted Attack In Manhattan, Suspect At Large

Can't see but I'd guess they tried using subsonic ammo to make it more quiet but the lower power doesn't have enough push to cycle the action.

Help a Newbie out! Question about troubleshooting

Yeah, I wouldn't even bother trying to clean that up. Just cut it off and replace. Do the cable/male side first. Maybe you'll get lucky and won't have to do the female. Even if you do, replacing with an RJ45 isn't hard.

Red Tail Hawk on a security camera

I think that like most things they're probably opportunistic and will conserve energy and take an easy meal where they find it.

Point to Point Wireless Bridge Recomendations

My other one's still good so 50/50 shot by my experience. ; ) I think what did mine in for whatever reason was that we had a bunch of real quick power losses/restores over about 5 minutes one day. Also just FYI, if you ever want to use just one as a client to another AP, it doesn't like an...

Point to Point Wireless Bridge Recomendations

Since this got bumped, to update my post here re the TP-Link CPE210 the one that I was using for the remote end died the other day. Can only keep wireless up for a few minutes after repower then it drops out. Got several years out of it. Finally said F' it and just ran a cable.

I Ordered an Axis Communications Axis Q1808-LE Camera

I think your main issue, as @biggen mentioned, is that the dome is dirty. e.g., The way the lights cause that diffused glare. The light sources aren't so much blurry or blocky, just hazy and the brightness from that glare also is making it so that you don't have good black otherwise so nothing...
