Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

Just installed mine yesterday and updated to the latest Nelly’s firmware. I drew my motion detection through the app and it seems to be working fine. I just had a delivery guy come to the door and push the camera lenses cover and not the button... I suspect that this will be a common...

    Running BI on a VM...?

Been running a test Blue Iris VM with Window 10 on my unRAID server for about a month now. It’s been running fine for me. I actually have been running an additional windows 10 VM with GPU and USB passthrough for 2 plus years as my main “at home” computer. It’s also been rock solid.

Any tips on reducing lag when viewing remotely?

I have found that if I use a VPN and Remote Desktop into the Windows 10 computer running BI, that the connection is pretty good with little lag. The method I am using is more steps than what you are trying to achieve with a web browser however.

Anyone else seeing lots of intrusion attempts against their VPN?

Same thing happening to me as well. I have two OpenVPN servers setup, one on the standard 1194 and one on a random port. My logs show consistent attempts to log into the 1194 port. As soon as I disabled the 1194 vpn the log attempts go away.

    Review-Dahua IPC-HDW2231RP-ZS Starlight Camera-Varifocal

Sorry, I figured I was going to look like an idiot when I asked that. The IPC-HDW5231R-ZE spec sheet specifically said 5x optical zoom and I didn’t find any mention of optical zoom on this one. Motorized lens should have been the duh moment but atlas it was not.

    Review-Dahua IPC-HDW2231RP-ZS Starlight Camera-Varifocal

Does the ipc-hdw2231rp-zs have optical zoom? I am trying to decide if it’s worth the extra money to go to the IPC-HDW5231R-ZE or just stick with the 2231. I did not see anything spelled out in the 2231 spec sheet.

Super New, Overwhelmed, Review my first attempt?

New here as well but thought I would chime in on my experience with Blue Iris. I agree that a docker would super nice but at this time Blue Iris just seemed way more user friendly than the other Linux options. I have an unRAID server and setup a Windows 10 virtual machine specifically dedicated...

Why aren't Dahua cameras more easily available in the US?

Well this would explain why Dahua sales stopped emailing me back after I said I was an end user. I was wondering why it was so hard to get an authorized dealers list from them.

Blue Iris & Stunnel - http working but https is not

I figured it out. I had a bad port forwarding rule on my router. I had the router bypassing the stunnel port and just going directly to blue iris.. duh.

Blue Iris & Stunnel - http working but https is not

Hello, I installed Stunnel and edited the config file to this: [blue-iris] client = yes accept = 8777 connect = 8989 cert = stunnel.pem I opened the port 8777 in my router to forward to 8989. I can connect to the stunnel port 8777 from my phone blue iris app if I set the wan to http. If I...
