    the 12mp are awesome, we have a few hundred up, great night vision, great WDR, the only issue is the vari focal lens tends not to stay sharp from edge to edge, if they had a fixed 2.8mm version without the blurry lens issue it'd be awesome... unfortunatly the 12mp cam's are something like $800...

    Soo, we got a few HFW1831EP to play with, so far they are a fairly normal mini bullet, the nice thing is if you hate 16:9 you can drop them to 5mp or 3mp and get 4:3 back so you arn't losing that real estate, will report back how the night vision looks

    I'd use something PC or Server based as the Recorder over a NVR anyday... you have a lot of crap up those poles, I'd run a PoE switch/UPS/Gigabit Ethernet to Fibre converter and run it all back to a single location for the NVR, those business connections must be costing a fortune?

    Dahua's setup using PSIA mode, issue only on the Mobile Server, using the Smart Client has no issues, Rolled back to R1 and everything's fine again

    just an FYI that the 2017 R2 appears to have that issue where it flash's grey regularly on some camera's... we had it on the first of the 2016 R2 releases too.

    we have probably 40 of them around the place, going to standardize on them, for the money they are awesome their nightvision is heaps better than the 2335 Hik's, probably not up with the .005's or 002's and of course the dome works against it but there is no 4:3 12mp that is eyeball so.....

    IPC-HDBW81230E-Z (and the previous model) we have stacks of from Dahua, pretty hard to fault other than they are the stupid dome other than a Turret/Eyeball DS-2CD4585F-I(Z)(H) is the Hik equivalent largely we use these two as we need a 90 degree field of view, will see if I can get a few back...

    Cause intel is in just about everything, and Intel as crap as they are, are likely to be present unlike having to start support all the AMD and Nvidia cards out there. don't know what your doing with your system there, my system doesn't have half your specs and they run just fine :|

    have you compared the 2.8mm 2335 to any non 2335 2.8mm Hik's and noticed such a drop from 4mm to 2.8mm?

    IPVM gave the 4800 a pretty bad rap from memory, one of those cam's that even in the daylight it's not as clear as others that are the same resolution. and yes, I negotiated (always do)
