Blue Iris - Private Network firewall settings

By default, BlueIris uses port 81 for UI3. You'd want to have that port open in the BI machine.

NVR Is painfully slow after setting up motion detection.

I ditched my hikvision 8 ch NVR for a $30 used PC and $60 BlueIris. The results were that BlueIris together with Deepstack will actively send me a text when its AI detects a person in the camers/hours I specified. When I had my motion detection on my Hikvision NVR, 95% of what I got was false...

Why doesn't Blue Iris better support 2-way audio?

I'm not a programmer but I bet it has to do with most cheap camera not support RTSP backchannel for two way audio.

Hello from (Soon to be ) a new house owner

I thought the same so I bought La View NVR (Hikvision NVR) and got the motion detection going and I thought I was golden. Few months later, I downloaded a demo version of Blue Iris then I realized that tradition NVR is just a toy compare to BlueIris's capabilities even just using the same...

New user trying to figure out an affordable POE-based Blue Iris system that doesn't use companies like Dahua, Hikvision or Reolink

It maybe weak, but it picked up the motion of a cat and recorded it so that's good enough for my use. I have 9 motion sensor flood lights outside my home working together with my cameras. I think they deter potential thief and work well enough to ID a person. If my goal was to ID...
