We're just about three towns apart and yours took a different route?...interesting. Watch out when you handle your package 'cause that DHL logo sure looks flamin' hot...just sayin'. Kudos to Andy and DHL. :):)
The proof is in the picture, as they say. This is why I didn't hesitate one bit to order two the moment I saw the photos Nayr posted here. If you're very keen in photography, you don't need a lot of convincing and testing once you see the results.
BTW, appreciate the zoomed out photo...now I...
Dang. Andy's shipment from Hong Kong beats Monoprice (CA) by four days!!! Shame...shame...this means I have the rest of the week to play with the cams. Oh well, what else can I do. :(
Bought a Canon 60D when it first came out...until now only had 150+ on it...all taped up with black electrical tape for xtra protection against the elements -- still looks brand spanking new. I also have my dad's F1 and PhotoBoy so pretty much I'm Canon for life.
As I understand, this camera is auto varifocal, right? Just zoom in/out to your preference then it auto-focuses and your done then install, am I correct?
Never tackled a varifocal before so forgive me for asking.
Well there's nothing wrong exposing the camera in the sun as long as it's not aimed directly at it. Ever wonder why they colored them white? lol
Death Valley!!! That's it!!! It's called heat transference! This is how it dissipates heat from the inside lol -- through its metal/steel body -- I...
As far as how Andy gets paid, I don't know...only he can answer that. Like you, I feel more comfortable paying through PayPal...that way I can dispute with them and my credit card company. But this is a non-issue in this case because it's Andy we're dealing with.
That's exactly how I ran all my meow6 cables from soffit to NVR. It's just a matter of locating where the high voltage lines are and keep the data cables away from them at least a foot and cross them at 90º.
For me, it's either that (spacer), mount it on the wall under the soffit, or just simply turn the IR off. I think I'll tackle the last one first since it's the easiest and besides we just had our street lamps upgraded a couple months ago from yellow to white and it's a good thing there is one...
If mounted on a soffit w/ gutter and zoomed out max at 97º x 52º (v) and the latter angle just clears the soffit and bottom of gutter, will it still have problems w/ IR reflection even if the eyeball is already angled downward?
Just get a Rust-Oleum clear gloss anti-UV spray can from Lowe's or Walmart and put it on there just like what others do to protect their newly polished headlights from turning yellow again.
Happy New Year to you hmj, Ryan and the rest of the wonderful folks here on ipcamtalk!!!
lol The only place here in Florida that keeps me from going elsewhere is the Space Coast. Happy surveillance all!
Oh yeah only with supplementary lighting. If only it had a bigger sensor to accommodate the additional 1 MP count so as to make each photo cell larger it would have performed better without the need for additional lighting. Sadly, the trend has never been this way with most of the cameras out...
I second that!!!

Stunning...looks like they were taken from a DSLR!
I ordered two a few days ago by way of Paypal...didn't get the tracking yet but who cares as long as it's Andy...I'm all good. :)
