Ahhhhhhh stop using FTP, in my next FW release I will put a big fat warning there that FTP is shit and you should be using NFS (NAS). In other words: GO SET UP NFS!!! Combined with SmartPSS it comes really close to an NVR. -

Reboot camera every week. Good idea?
Mine have been running for months without a problem. If the camera crashes or hangs the watchdog timer will reboot it within 30 seconds anyways: So, no, there is no point in enabling auto reboot. Probably was added back when the software had memory leaks? -
