    because i have one cheap tester i found that it ise very usefull to have hdmi in. If so you can connect the tester to nvr or xvr via hdmi and you can config via tester and no need a monitor. So yes get the plus version

    You have to set the tripwire or whatever you want through camera as bigredfish says. You need to go through the nvrs ip from a pc and in the camera section hit the ie of the camera you want. From there you will set the rules. Do NOT set the rules from the nvr.

    I found that is a better way to get notifications direclty from the application gdmss plus than the email. It send you either a photo or a video when trigger.

    Ì have xvr5116hs-x and i have to say that the motion detection and ivs are nightmare. Daytime is working ok but nighttime i get 15 alarms false even by a car light even the bugs. Bigredfish suggest to use tripwire zik zak instead of intrusion and i havent test it yet.

    Your nvr it support only smd function from camera. If your camera is nor an smd camera then you will not be able to use it.

    One question for bigredfish. I initalize one ipc camera to dahua nvr and the camera get the user and pass from this nvr. If i want to setup the camera to another nvr the user and pass will be the previous nvr user and pass?

    Yes connect the nvr to monitor by hdmi and set the basic setup then you change the ip of the nve to whatever you want

    Im not sure i understand your question.my lan in home is 10.0.0.1. I set the nvr ip to this address. And the cameras is on nvrs ip 10.1.1.65 and so on
