Ok perfect. Yeah based on thethis is not a small dog
Got Deepstack installed and enabled on the one camera (default settings). Don't see "animal" in the list of defaults but I'll go read.
32GB RAM so I can give it a try. Motion detection I'm no expert on. I see mine is set for:
Min object size 550
Min contrast 40
Min duration 1.0 sec
Highlight -Do not highlight motion
Blackout - Do not blackout
Object detection on
Use zones and hot spot off
Algorithm - Edge vector

Have some animal leaving giant piles of poop in my yard. Is there any recommendation on motion detection for a dog? Ideally I'd like an alert generated if a dog or a dog sized object is detected.
I have IPC-T5442T-ZE on latest Blue Iris. Beginner to intermediate understanding of Blue Iris and...
Wire broke when removing the camera. Anyone happen to know what the wiring diagram is to put this back how it was? The user is handy with a soldering iron or whatever else is needed. @EMPIRETECANDY maybe you know how to fix this. He bought it from you.
Who makes a good iP camera for night use outdoors these days? I’ve been using Dahua Starlight 2MP varifocal turret from @EMPIRETECANDY but mine are a few years old now.
Can someone please link me to the latest firmware for IPC-HDW2231RP-ZS ?
I've searched the forums, google searched the forum, and I went to the sticky post @fenderman created and can't find it.
Looking for an @EMPIRETECANDY post but the only one I could find similar was for a different model...
Thanks, @Edcfish ! I’ll check it out. I have 2 TP-Link switches. My set up is relatively similar and I have Qotom also. And I’m in Georgia. Hope you enjoyed it here while you were in town. Hot as hell right now is the only problem.
Does your BlueIris box have 2 IPs? Did you do port level VLAN...

-Blue Iris server accessible over OpenVPN hosted by my router
-Blue Iris connected to separate camera network that has no internet access
How are you accomplishing...
I've used the Synology Surveillance Station and app. It's like $50 per camera. My setup would cost me $550 for the software whereas I paid like $40 + $30 a year for Blue Iris and can add as many cameras as I like without an extra charge. Also the functionality of Blue Iris is way more flexible...
Deleting the DB folder did the trick. Took days to reindex, though. Brother in law never did tell me how the clips were generated, so I'll let him figure it out when it breaks again.
Thanks again, @fenderman
Trying to help a family member. His clips.dat file taking 94GB of 111GB C drive
Have tried compacting the DB manually, which saved a few MB but not much. He has 20 cameras. My BI has 11 cameras and I'm only using < 2GB for clips.dat.
What can we look at? We just tried recreating the DB and...
