Full ALPR Database System for Blue Iris!

If I ctrl-click on the Alert clip, I see all these options, but none appears to take me to the AI pane: If I switch from Alerts to AI Alerts, I get nothing:

Ah, there they are. I was looking in my V: drive, where I store everything else: I see JPGs paired up with DAT files, which I'm assuming is good news, because it means something that done something with those JPGs. Except, curiously, I don't see a JPG for 7:08 PM last night, which is when I...

I do, now! Waiting for a vehicle . . . Should there be a folder full of JPGs somewhere? I'm not seeing any. Or would they be inside the Docker container?

Hmmm. This was configured as "Database Only", and I'm guessing maybe I need to store Hi-Res JPGs, no? And then I'm also seeing that the Configure Web Request or MQTT dialog appears in both Trigger tab: and the on the Alert tab: I had set it up on the Trigger tab, because that's the first...

This generated a camera alert, and my plate looks pretty clear here: Here's a 100% crop: and the server log for 19:08:00 shows: 19:03:26:Response rec'd from License Plate Reader command 'alpr' (...2b70a2) ['No plates found'] took 1639ms 19:08:01:Response rec'd from Object Detection...

Fascinating! I would not have guessed that the LP detection was a completely separate operation from the OCR!

Full ALPR Database System for Blue Iris!

Progress! I now have jobs being executed: but they're all 'No objects found' followed by 'No plates found'. I'm guessing that's the order of operations because the last two entries in the log are in that order. The ALPR database is empty. I'm still tuning the camera nighttime settings, but...

^^ Thanks! I don't understand (yet) what any of that means, but now my 3 camera Alert tabs look like yours. We'll see if I start getting any data. Is there a diagram somewhere that shows the workflow of BI with AI and associated other modules like ALPR? I don't understand the data flows.

Pardon the dumb questions, but what other prerequisites need to be installed/enabled/configured before running this? This is my first time using AI anything, so a lot of obvious steps for you will not be obvious for me :D. So far I've done the following: Followed the instructions from the...

Stack video frames to enhance face and catch Truck Thief?

It's up: Here's my car, after making a left turn into the lot from 223rd St (scaled down): and a 100% crop of my car: Here's someone leaving: I can actually zoom in even further, but I don't think I need to, and I would lose part of the driveway anyway (scaled down): I should be...

    Docker Wyze Bridge - configuration

Another small tip--if you run the Bridge on the same computer as Blue Iris, use the loopback address instead of its literal IP address: That way, if you transplant everything over to a new computer, it will still work.

Trying to move Dahua cameras from subnet to main LAN

But doesn't ONVIF require a login? How would the NVR log into the camera if the IP address has been changed?

Trying to move Dahua cameras from subnet to main LAN

Does it do this via ARP? My Amcrest cameras have this checkbox: I wonder un-checking this box would prevent the NVR from forcibly adopting the cameras.

Upgrading my machine - P cores and E cores?

I just had to configure auto-login for Windows 11, and now Docker starts at boot, and all is good. I had to drag the box back to my bench anyway, because you don't have access to all login options over RDP, so I took the opportunity to take some comparative photos between the old Optiplex 7040...

    Blue Iris 6.0 coming?

    Don't forget 5.9.9.A, 5.9.9.B, 5.9.9.C, 5.9.9.D, 5.9.9.E, and 5.9.9.F.

    Blue Iris 6.0 coming?

Ah, got it. By "the app" you mean "the mobile app" and not "the PC app." edit: I almost never use the mobile app any more. UI3 on Chrome on iPhone works better for me for just about all tasks.

    Blue Iris UI3

    Has it tried? :p Well, I suppose I'll wait for BI 6 before submitting a bug for BI 5. Still waiting for 6. . . . . . . .

Few simple Q's about Dahua install junction box

Looks promising! Here they are, out of the box. They slide into the junction box snugly: but they're obviously way too long: They're silicone, so they trim down very easily with a razor: The fit around the Ethernet portion of the breakout cable is a bit loose: but I can probably...

    Blue Iris UI3

I have encountered a recurring (but infrequent) display bug. Sometimes, one of my cameras gets displayed as zoomed in, but BI/UI3 thinks it's zoomed all the way out. Here's the correct view: Sometimes, perhaps once every 2 weeks, I'll click on one of the cameras (say, the upper-right camera)...

Is my WD purple 6tb HD in trouble?

No, this is on a different BI box, my personal BI installation. The troublesome box is one I set up for my parents. The dead box is one my son set up for me ex. I also have a box at work that's working fine.

Is my WD purple 6tb HD in trouble?

Yeah, but it's just the 256 GB boot drive, so I won't interact with it much. All the video is on a different, far slower, external drive box.

Is my WD purple 6tb HD in trouble?

It's a cheapie SATA SSD that the refurb companies put in refurbished PCs: My new cheap box has an M.2 SSD that appears to be less cheapie:

Is my WD purple 6tb HD in trouble?

Yeah, I will probably need to bring the box back to my house and do a bunch of swapping to figure out what's going on. The box that my son set up for my ex is also dead, and I just swapped out my personal box for a new one, so I will have 3 identical Optiplex 7040 boxes on my desk!

Is my WD purple 6tb HD in trouble?

CrystalDisk reports zero errors or warnings on my 2-yo Seagate BarraCuda: but I'm getting repeated "Disk can't write fast enough" errors: and generally abysmal performance on this i7-6700 box that's essentially configured the same as 2 other identical boxes that perform fine with more...
