Although you have gotten an alert, the NVR is still writing to the Hard drive and is not available yet for viewing. Wait a minute before playing back. -

People spread on videos
After fiddling with the settings for hours with no success, I have found the cameras defaults to be the best effective settings for various conditions. at Any time you get blurring, set defaults and start fresh. -

Serial number embedded in email alerts.

I see no good reason for serial numbers to be embedded in every email alerts and my suspicious side of me tells me Hikvision did this on purpose. Knowing this is what you need to create a new password and gain access I feel it should be spared. The device name is also embedded and by no means...- NVR

Connection failed when activating Alarm in ivms with fw 3.3.4
Ok some updates, my perception was false and it is not fw dependent. I added a friends 3.3.4 NVR to my ivms and attempted to turn on Alarm Notification and got " connection failed" wifi and 4g 3.0.8 which has been added for over a year can be turned on without issues. My own 3.3.4 also got...- NVR

So I have two NVRs connected to the same IVMS 4500, one is an older firmware 3.0.8 which alarm activates without issues, however the new recently installed NVR with 3.3.4 NVR continues to give a connection failed message. The issue seems to be fw sensitive and wondering if anyone has a fix...- NVR

New 6mp with 1/1.8 sensor
Thanks for the links, Theoretically the 2mp darkfighter should produce a better night image then the above 5mp due to lower pixel density, All darkfighters are 2mp ( AFAI) and can do 60fps , however if it can produce a better night image than the 4mp Hiks I recently got, then its definitely... -

Clip claims to use same sensor, a different cam though. People capture is well defined walking at a fast pace and from a good distance. Cant get that on my 4mp hik 10 feet away. -

I can confirm with certainty messing with these settings DNR, WDR, Iframe and smoothing, in the wrong direction can give the pulsating effect if your getting that. I reset the camera not NVR to start fresh. -

I would test the cams using a ready made good quality short cat5e/6, directly near the NVR, It is possible you have accidentally purchased cheap cable. -

Understanding Hikvision Motion Detection
Currently dealing with the same issue, if sensitivity is on 2 I get too many alerts and records every 10 minutes, if set to 1, it skips valuable info. Have not been able to get the channel to record during line crossing. -

Suspicious login
Appears that everyone will see a different ip in their NVR log then their real ip presented by an ip look up service. I'm guessing that the phone company is using these different ips either for certain ports and in the process the ip is accidentally revealed for those services. Also possible...
