Email alerts not working when Hikvision cameras connected to DS-7608NI-E2/8P

To get mine going I had to make gmails "less secured apps" turned on. Did this several times as it kept reverting back to off on its own. Double check this. Without this feature being turned on, no logins will be accepted by gmail. https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps

    Suspicious login

So out of nowhere I see my NVR rebooting, I go in to check the log and there was a successful login just prior to the reboot under user name admin from 30.204.95.xxx I look it up and came back as a DOD IP and then it was followed by another login after the reboot but now as a superadmin. Also...

Thank you, yes I have a few channels on motion to accommodate for the lack of the "Dynamic Analysis" feature. Been trying for this feature since 3 firmware ago, not on hdmi either. Hopefully one day we figure this out. Just an awesome and important feature to have, can browse the entire day...

    Installation tips?

Stone has always been a challenge, was just attempting to drill in a blue stone foundation and was very difficult, all I can say is keep drilling and take breaks, have a spray bottle and spray water on the bit as you drill and ensure you have a concrete bit. Brick and soffit are much easier...

    Network Video Recorder: Illegal Login

Ip addresses used to change with every reboot, and you couldnt hold the same one for longer then a month. Soon they'll start selling Dynamic IP services.

Looking for some camera and placement advice advice

I had taken the forums past recommendations of having a separate switch and the job is much cleaner and easier. This allows you to place a switch at a central strategic location and only need to run one cable from switch to the NVR. Can link as many switches as you go between floor levels. Cant...

    Network Video Recorder: Illegal Login

I was discussing this with a friend, IP addresses are changing less often for whatever reason, his hasn't changed in 6 months even after rebooting his router. Which normally was a way to get a new IP.

cant see cams on 2nd router

Absolutely, he mentions Router B DHCP is already disabled, definitely should go to B location and see what type of connectivity/ip its giving out, from the sound of it, it looks like everything is already setup.

cant see cams on 2nd router

Probably why he has it disabled then.

cant see cams on 2nd router

You may have an access point and not a router which will allow for the same subnet all across, are you sure router B is indeed a router?

cant see cams on 2nd router

So router B is not setup yet? Can you connect to router B and see what IP scheme it gives you? 255.255.255.0 wont work on both router, that would be the same subnet. So the Rotuer A could be on 255.255.255.0 with 192.168.1.1-192.168.1.255 and Router B can be on 255.255.255.128 with...

cant see cams on 2nd router

Since you have two routers, you need two subnets otherwise each router will be giving out the same ip and causing a conflict. Although router B has 192.1.18 to connect to router A, its hosts ( rotuer B) must be on a different subnet then router A. You need to forward the cameras IP addresses on...

Does IVMS 4500 recognize the NVR as an NVR automatically?

Unlike some older apps where I had to add each cam manually for DVR setups, with IVMS they populate automatically and mirror the NVRs order.

    Data Transmission error

Had one cam give the data transmission error and kept on rebooting and freezing. Turned out to be a problem with the connector/wiring. problem was solved after cutting a kink I had created to tuck the wire under the siding and a new connector. Just sharing in case someone gets a data...

    Intrusion detection not supported.

Ok, turns out you will lose this feature if you chose ONVIF when adding the cameras. Deleted the cams and added again using the Hikvision protocol and all is well.

    Intrusion detection not supported.

I wanted to try the same but was worried as I once did this on an older firmware and the "No Link" message you get when a cam is disconnected, changed to Chinese. So will leave this as a last resort.
