Subnet basically holds all the ip ranges to keep it simple, a nic is a network interface card.- spenser911

Another way to do it if it won't dhcp which I've never seen happen, very simple just access your router and see what range it is assigning go back to recorder copy to network config ip/subnet/gateway. Also don't forget to double check if your ethernet cable is good.- spenser911

Is the NVR on the correct network segment? Dahua devices come defaulted to 192.168.1.108 - I would set your recorder to DHCP and do a reboot, should grab the correct address from your router.- spenser911

Dahua's DSS Express or Pro
Do you have a DSS Server to go along with it? I can send you the client but it would be worthless to you as you MUST had a DSS Server (thats where the download link lives btw on the servers web UI)- spenser911
