does not support configuration search and modification AGAIN

Same problem here, and nobody responds. Aggravating that only one older firmware camera (channel 2) seems to work. All others even new 5442 -Z4 doesn't.

On my router I set the NVR as a static address. Easy to do.

Found model for green alarm Dahua 5216=16P= 4ks2 NVR connectors

Found the model of connectors for the green alarm block on the back of the Dahua 5216-16P-4KS2 NVR. Someone had mentioned Phoenix connectors so I bought some off of Ebay. Part 1803581 I got them in the mail and confirm they fit. Bryan

    Dahua audio

It needs external power 12VDC to make it work. It's mentioned on others posts in forums. Since I learned in buggy SC to use a separate IR light spaced a ways from the camera, I just tapped power going to it via 14 AWG wire to power the microphone.

    Dahua audio

I'm working on the same issue with my IPC-B5442E-Z4E from Andy. I used a powered mike on the audio in on the camera. Microseven M7WP-MIC ordered from Amazon. It picks up and plays back through the NVR's powered speakers, also to the GDMSS app on my smartphone. Since I'm using a separate...

Yep, that's what I did, had mentioned it in another post and solved it..was one of these duh moments. Quick question on another issue. I bought one of these 5442-z4E cameras from Andy with an RCA connector for a speaker and RCA connector for a mic on the camera. From my smartphone using...

Like I said, I tried it on a new roll of 1000 ft cable in my bedroom. See the previous pics. Very slight lag but quality was great..

    Epoe trench 750ft long

About the only protection I have is that I shut the system down every time a storm comes up. Could also unplug the Cat6 from the EPOE switch near the NVR when I shut the system down. Thanks..:)

    Epoe trench 750ft long

Yeah I know..was my first thought but just couldn't afford to do it. I own the land and it's my driveway. I'm the only one doing any work on it so thought I'd risk it. Only thing I'm worried about is moles and anything that digs.

    Epoe trench 750ft long

I was using a mattock and a shovel. Was trying to go below mole level below the topsoil. Used a string, struck a deep line along it with the mattock, then went along the opposite side with a shovel, standing on it parallel to line. Then I used the mattock to cut it into sections, and went back...

    Epoe trench 750ft long

Took a few weeks but never could work on it on consecutive days. Either weather or something else would come up. I could get about 50 ft a day once I got away from the house . Near the house was a hardpack clay dome. In the SC sandhills it's mostly topsoil (placed) and sand.

    Epoe trench 750ft long

Installing a camera and IR light at the outer driveway gate. Dug a shallow 750 ft trench by hand all the way out. Staying home mostly cause of the pandemic..also couldn't see renting a trencher for a 5"deep trench. Running 14 gauge 2 wire for IR light, with a variable power supply where I...

DAHUA gDMSS Plus app not working on wifi

Could have saved myself 2 hours reading about hairpinning and NAT Loopback if I had saw your response.. It hit me, I just created another NVR on my phone and called it NVR internal. Used the local address 192.168... and it works!

DAHUA gDMSS Plus app not working on wifi

It got complicated and with a lot of reading so I solved it another way. Just created another NVR device on my phone. Called it NVR Internal. Used the local internal address for the NVR. Boom. Works like when I'm away from home but much faster.

DAHUA gDMSS Plus app not working on wifi

Having the same problem AT HOME ONLY. Can't connect w gDMSS using wifi direct at home on my smartphone. If I disable wifi calling on my phone and use 4G it works. I can be at someone else's house and connect to their WIFI with my phone, then it works great. Just not at my house.

Mounting this cam is driving me nuts.

TV antenna mount. My brother cut a 2" pipe to set in the ground but believe you could put the 1 1/4" galvanized pipe in the concrete. Might coat it in tar first.

Mounting this cam is driving me nuts.

Wonder what would happen if you had a larger section of galvanized pipe and set it over the upper pipe vent? You'd have to stabilize it and adjust mount for not being vertical.. For my TV antennas I use 1 1/4 galvanized plumbing pipes (threaded) with 2 - 10ft sections. Dug a post hole and put...

Best practice for running Cat6 cable

You might want to think about running low voltage power cables for 12VDC for having IR lights at locations away from the cameras. Using the camera's own IR has a lot of false alarms from moths and swinging spiders on their webs. Also I used the corner vertical vinyl siding pieces to run Cat6...

Need help with gDMSS on smartphone and WiFi direct ONLY at home. 4G connects fine.

Had this a while and can't solve it. Have a Samsung J3 Mission Smartphone with WIFI Direct calling. It can connect to WIFI at home, but while connected and trying to use gDMSS to connect to my NVR, the connection to the NVR/cameras always fails. If I disconnect from WIFI calling, and just use...

    NVR microphone questions.

Trying the same thing basically with no real luck. Mic Out on the NVR is for powered speakers like you would use for a computer. Plug either red or white from the speaker to the Mic out on the NVR. Maybe tape the unused one to keep it from shorting against anything. The speaker will play...
