SD59230U-HNI Spazzing out when trying IVS?

Are you both on SD59230s? It's probably worth adding the temperature on screen as well as the clock just in case the fans have packed in or something. This is one of the reasons I like managed switches as you get port stats and can easily see if it's something wrong at that level.

SD59230U-HNI Spazzing out when trying IVS?

I have no experience with any of the above - maybe someone else can comment on those. The old firmwares used to give info on low power events but that is gone now in recent firmwares. I specced Cat6 for our new build but when we moved in they had used 5e and it's been fine for my purposes. Is...

SD59230U-HNI Spazzing out when trying IVS?

Which injector exactly is it you're using and what switch? Has the cable been tested with a cable tester? It might be worth adding the on screen clock - that way if it continues running while the video is paused it's something in the camera going haywire - if the clock stops with the video...

SD59230U-HNI Spazzing out when trying IVS?

I've not seen freezes like that on my 59225 with IVS tracking rules - what config are you using? I have one intrusion rule with Entry and Exit and one tripwire with A<->B configured and haven't seen those freezes in the video. How is your camera powered and are you using microSD or sending...

    PTZ Firmware update 20190326

There's always a risk when updating the PTZ MCU firmware and a couple of people on here have had problems during an update for some reason If it's working for you as is then the best advice is leave it alone unless you're specifically affected by a bug in the firmware you're on. I use microSD...

    PTZ Firmware update 20190326

No that problem was with this latest firmware - I just checked the Dahua site and they're still listing 181205 which is older than the firmware on this thread. It's only happened twice and only on the PTZ1A225U-IRA-N - I haven't seen this happen on the 59225 here.

    PTZ Firmware update 20190326

The 59225 has been rock solid here since I re-cabled it, I've noticed a strange problem with the PTZ1A225U-IRA-N that has happened twice now. I have both the PTZ cameras set to reboot once daily otherwise they sometimes behave randomly. On two occasions now the PTZ1A225U-IRA-N has rebooted and...

    Review-Dahua IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M Dual Starlight Cam

I'm guessing that's a competitor trying to cause you problems Andy, usually on Amazon it will show Verified Purchase if they bought the item from you which isn't showing on either of those reviews. Maybe try report abuse - from reading their other reviews I'm guessing English isn't their first...

    PFB203W bracket rain effectiveness?

If you're really worried about water what about applying some Rain-X or similar to help it roll off the lens even longer? I've installed plenty of cams with this mount which have been up for around two years if not longer - one of the mounts has bubbled a bit where it's started rusting but no...

    Review IPC-T5442TM-AS-LED (Full Color, Starlight+)

Thanks for the initial videos, that's crisp video in the afternoon from that 4Mp sensor. When you're back I'd be intrigued to see how the video fares at night with noise reduction turned down please although as is that is some good usable evidence. Maybe that white clipping from the IR as you...

    SD49225T-HN - Reboot cycle/crash?

Your best bet is to get a connection to the debug pins on the camera and see if you can use TFTP to recover. Dahua IPC EASY unbricking / recovery over TFTP If you're lucky it may just work with the TFTP and without needing the connection to the debug port.

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

Does the camera go through the self test not long after power is connected, ie a full rotation or so and then movement up and down? If it's not working with that 24v supply the easiest way to test is to get a POE+ injector (802.3at) and see if it will work that way.

Cheap high endurance sd cards - a cautionary tale

It's always worth running new microSD cards through h2testw before using them - this will write data to the entire card and then attempt to read it back and will identify any cards with false reported capacities as well as slow cards.

    Dahua 2MP Starlight Lineup

It's all from POE+ if you have that available and how I run both of mine from a Dell PowerConnect switch (although I have a Brocade here I'll be moving across to at some point).

    PTZ Firmware update 20190326

The CPU platform is very different across the two as well - these PTZ cameras with the firmware in this thread use the HiSilicon HI3516A CPU and the 5231s as an example are Ambarella S3LM. Both are ARM based but it could be as simple as the Ambarella SDK is easier to use and some things are...

    DH_IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea_MultiLang_NP_Stream3_V2.800.0000005.0.R.190325.zip

Installed on the 3x 5231 cameras I have here, I've noticed that the font size is reset after the upgrade to self adaptation from the previous setting of 48x48. PQ wise they seem the same before and after the upgrade to me and I came from the August 2018 firmware which has been a good one for...

    PTZ Firmware update 20190326

I've updated the 59225 and PTZ1A225 here too thanks Andy :)

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

Figured I'd better update this one - the 59225 as mentioned really didn't like that Transcend microSD card - it's been back up on the house for a couple of weeks now and so far no sign of issues. The Transcend card passed testing but also played up when used in an action camera so maybe I got...

    Whats the best auto-tracking PTZ?

Auto tracking is built into the camera itself so you set the rules up in camera and then anything like the Synology which receives the video stream just records whatever the camera is tracking.

    Dahua possible backdoors found???

That's very cool thank-you, it works fine on a mixture of cameras here - 5231s on an older firmware, and works great on the two PTZs I have, the 59225 and 1A225-IRA on latest firmwares. It throws an error ironically on the cameras which are having microSD errors. Here's some output...

Anyone Else Seeing Memory Card Issues With Dahua IPC-HFW2831T-ZS's ?

I've just added some info over in the 59225 thread as I swapped the card I was running which it had been happy with recently (a Toshiba Exceria M302 128GB) with a Transcend v30 128GB card and after the new card filled the camera started spitting out disk errors. On checking the 1A225 it has also...

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

The 59225 I had started getting packet loss again so it's currently sat in the house bench testing where it's been since Saturday. I was expecting it to be the cable but so far I've had a 4Mp camera connected without any issues or packet loss (running at 10Mbps) since Saturday morning to the...

    Dahua Starlight Varifocal Turret (IPC-HDW5231R-Z)

Yep the mirror is gone and some damage to the wing and door - that won't polish out! I felt sorry for her but goes to show what a momentary lack of concentration can do (we've all been there!)

    Dahua Starlight Varifocal Turret (IPC-HDW5231R-Z)

Well the 5231 I use as an overview cam still sees some strange sights. There's also some other footage I can't upload here which has resulted in one of the residents of the street being evicted this week for thefts from his neighbours (in conjunction with footage from the PTZ). The overview...

Anyone Else Seeing Memory Card Issues With Dahua IPC-HFW2831T-ZS's ?

I already had the right PTZ firmware on there so just loaded the newer camera firmware from Dahua - details as follows: Device TypePTZ1A225U-IRA-N System VersionV2.623.0000000.13.R.E4.2512.9A.NR, Build Date: 2018-12-05 PTZ VersionV2.300.0000000.8.RHNAB_170829_23879 Since the upgrade the http...

Anyone Else Seeing Memory Card Issues With Dahua IPC-HFW2831T-ZS's ?

I had all sorts of issues with microSD cards in the 59225 and 1A225 which settled down with the latest firmware - maybe Dahua need to port the fixed code across more cameras?

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

OK something to maybe watch out for but I've been having issues here where the camera had become unstable on the network - bizarrely by changing just the FPS from 30 to 15 (I'd forgotten to change it after the last reset to defaults) it seems to have stabilised. The bitrate is still in the...

    Dahua 2MP Starlight Lineup

I did wonder if it was related thank-you - sounds like the sensor is a great performer although costly. Hopefully we'll see the real new cameras soon in that case as I'm getting the upgrade itch. I did spot this PTZ with radar detection which would minimise false motion alerts - kind of like...

    Dahua 2MP Starlight Lineup

I've had a new season price list for some Dahua cameras this week and see there are now 2Mp Starvis dome cams listed with a bigger 1/1.9" sensor vs the 1/2.9" used in the very popular 5231 range. Price wise they would be over £600 retail mark so not sure if these are new or just not so popular...

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

I bought some rubber washers to try and isolate the screws into the house and it's ghetto but I rammed some car audio insulation in between the house and the wall which also helped and then trimmed with a Stanley knife - you can still hear it at certain frequencies but not as bad as before...
