PTZ cam with as good optics or better as IPC-T5442T-EZ.

Cost is not really going to be important. He can afford them, I just want to get the best bang for the buck for him as well. We need it to be a good heavy duty ptz, and be able to take a lot of wind etc. It will be up about 15' so I'm thinking more in the line of ones listed above, but I'll keep...

PTZ cam with as good optics or better as IPC-T5442T-EZ.

I understand the size difference. I have a PTZ and have installed several others for other people. I have a friend that I put some cameras up for that is a quadriplegic. I installed cameras for him and several were PTZ. He likes to check on things, and found he really likes the PTZ cameras...

PTZ cam with as good optics or better as IPC-T5442T-EZ.

Is the 2nd one you listed better, or just the same as the first ptz you listed? Quite a difference in price for sure. I guess when I mean better, I mean is it $1500 better in your opinion? I'll do some looking, but I don't know I could justify that price unless there was something special it...

I have some Permatex around someplace.

Yep, pure copper. Yep, I'll waterproof them, thanks for reminding me. Does it have to be any specific dielectric grease?

    No.

    Camera just quit working.

Well, we'll soon find out. I have some new Cat6 outdoor cable coming, plus a new PoE switch to power it all. I have used switches on all the other Ubiquiti NanoStations, and the switches work great, so I'll try this to see.

    Camera just quit working.

The connection below is in a watertight sealed box. No water can get in, or even dust doesn't get in. The one on top is in the compartment of the nanostation. The connection going into the camera is perfectly sealed also. I used the watertight connectors that came with the camera. I don't know...

If you didn't know what a leg was, here is a picture of the leg. All steel.

    Camera just quit working.

This cable is on a steel leg. I don't have any shielded cable, but it is a cat6 type. If lightning hits this leg, (it never has over a 10 year period) I don't think it matters that the cable is shielded or not, as everything will be toast anyway. It is not connected to any real important pieces...

The setup used is pretty much like this. Nanostation, down into a poe injector. But from there to power the cam, it goes into another injector out to the cam. I may add a switch in between though.

    Camera just quit working.

Yes, I understand. I'll be replacing the cable no matter what, but just want to test to see if the tester does catch the problem.

    Camera just quit working.

The difficulty is getting up the leg. I don't like to climb 100 feet up a ladder. I have someone that will do it for me. I'm 63 and could probably do it, but it's not an easy task. I have replaced both injectors and tried short cables on the bottom side where I can access the cables. The top...

    Camera just quit working.

The one thing I have noticed is where it shows the cable length. On one of my setups on a different site, it shows on both the access point and the station the length. On the one at the site that is having the issue, it only shows one cable length. I don't know if that is telling me anything or not.

    Camera just quit working.

I am not sure where I should post this, here since I have dahua cameras or somewhere else? I guess I'll find out. The other day one of the cameras in a setup I did, just quit working. I have tried everything to get it to go, but I'm not sure what I need to do now. I'll explain the setup I have...

T-Mobile 5G Home Internet AND Blue Iris

It may be fast, but it sucks for trying to get things to work with it. If I had a choice, and all prices were the same for the same speed, it would not be TM.

Moving BI 5 to a different server

I am running the BI in the new server in Demo mode at this point, to make sure all it good. I should be ready to deactivate the old server shortly. I just want it to run awhile if that makes sense.

I did the export - import, and it all is working great. No problems at all that I can see.

Moving BI 5 to a different server

I still use BI tools, even though they haven't had updates as of late. How can I get my settings of that over to my new setup? Edit: I got it.

Moving BI 5 to a different server

Okay, I finally got everything I need to start my new build for my Plex, so I'm going to start the move from the one server to another. I'm going to mess around a little and try the export and import process. If it doesn't work, I'll just do each camera all over again. I have taken screen shots...

Issue with remote viewing of BI.

What benefit would IPv6 give over using ZeroTtier or TailScale? I already tried using Tailscale, and it works. I just have not installed ZT yet.

Issue with remote viewing of BI.

Actually, I remote in with Tailscale to get me remote access. Well, I think I actually discovered why I can't get into my BI. I am staying at my Mom's right now, and they have TMobile. I turn off wifi on my phone, and presto, BI work. I switch my laptop to my hotspot from my phone, and presto...

Issue with remote viewing of BI.

I am 900 miles away from home. For the last 2 weeks I have had no problem viewing my cameras on my laptop, and phone. I went into it today, and it would not work. No matter what I do, it won't allow it. I went in remotely into my Bl server, and I went into the web server. I hit the remote...

How to setup storage for multiple hdd?

Instead of using just 1 hdd, I had several hdd that I have to store BI video. Is there a tutorial that I am missing that shows how to do this? I can do it easily with 1 hdd, but am not quite sure of the procedure with more than 1 hdd to go with multiple cameras. I'll keep looking. Thanks.

Moving BI 5 to a different server

But you believe it is much better to just do it from scratch though. I'll probably do it that way. Just take a snapshot of my settings, etc. since I won't be able to have a PC and monitor next to it. It only takes some time, and I seem to have a lot of that. ;)

Moving BI 5 to a different server

I'm just messing with you. I don't have 49 cameras, but just wanted to give you a bad time. I only have 10 cameras, so it shouldn't be too bad to switch over. Are there some configuration settings that you can save over, or is it all or none. Sorry, for messing with you, but....
