    I like this idea. It'd be a little tricky to align the four holes, but maybe attached a dowel or a solid piece of pipe up through the cable hole would allow you to rotate it, and line up your studs.

    I don't have that exact camera, but I don't see how you could easily put the mounting screws in from the top. Unless you could somehow reach your whole hand/arm out a medium sized hole. And maybe your arm could fit out a j-box size hole? I don't think i'd like that big of a hole in my soffit...

    Interesting thread. I have the Laview Halo, and it's okay. I'm always up for some improvement. I'm not opposed to POE, but I don't have a cable running to my doorbell spot. I'd be easier for me not to.

    As someone who has two young daughters, this type of thing disturbs me. At least the waitress was able to get the W And I also don't care what she was wearing, unless it was a shirt that literally said "You are free to grab my butt." That's about the only way I see her "inviting" it.

    My mom has the same battery Dewalt as I, and she gets a good hour of life our of her 5aH battery. And it's still got life left in it. This is at a big ol' farm house with some fences, flower beds, etc. And you could always swap in a fresh battery. Or buy some round-up. ;)

    My stupid LaView keeps needing to be reset. Like I have to unwire from the Transformer, let set for a few days, and wire back up. Then it's fine. I think I'm just going to wire up a switch in line, so I don't have to keep messing with it. It works well for the next 4 to 6 months, though.

    I don't know much about specific cameras, but I have two of them on my soffit using the aluminum flatbar method. I wish I could get wider flatbar, as the widest Home Depot had was narrower than the camera bases. But I made it work someone. One of them I drilled a small hole, just big enough...

    The prior owners to our house left us an old Troybuilt push mower. Which was fine, but I replaced with a similar Honda mower in the OP maybe 6 years ago now. The only thing I really do to it is put fuel in it. I always treat my mower/blower fuel so I don't really even worry about winterizing...
