    I like to use the Arlington CAM-BOX, they work great and they look good too, ~$15. You need a 4" hole saw and by code you need to use the wire to tie the box/camera to a ceiling tie down in case the ceiling tile gets wet and falls.

    In the DMSS app- device details for NVR- alarm subscription - other alarms - IPC offline- select cameras, be sure to save when you back out. Most NVRs it is under Alarm from main page -Alarm in port- cam offline for sendind email. But does not need to be set up if using DMSS

    I'm pretty sure these POE NVR's are active out of the box. I believe if you power up the NVR there is a section for the switch, but I don't think there is no control over on / off. I think I have one here I can pull and take a look.

    I have found by adding the device again to smart PSS, the p2p connection will connect. Even with all the same credentials as the old one that would not connect. After checking the SN and PW a million times to make sure they were correct.
