    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

If you use the most recent BIT then it should download the needed files and place them in the correct directory on your BI machine. Then it is just a matter of pointing the browser to the UI2 page instead of the default page for BI.

Interesting article about dvrs with "hardcoded" passwords

Bingo! That is why it was important to relay this info on the forum here to help others understand the vulnerability of opening a port to their internal network to the Internet. The root username and password are always going to be available on the listed hardware and cannot be removed.

    4.3.0 - February 23, 2016

You can in fact achieve this as this is exactly what I am doing. I have a clone of my driveway cam. One is set to record on all motion and the other is set to use the zone rules and trigger an alert when someone/something crosses from A-B. Clone the camera and you should be all set.

Dahua Mini Black Face PTZ (SD29204S-GN & SD29204T-GN)

Thanks for taking the time to put this review together. I am pretty impressed at the night time quality and clarity that you are getting. One of the better night pictures I have seen, that's for certain. And your home automation seems to be taking full advantage of the pan and zoom of this...

I currently have a zone A and B setup on my driveway camera. Zone A is on the street/sidewalk and zone B is on the driveway itself. I also have it set to alert on A-B crossing and it seems to be going well so far. Perhaps it is the 3 zone setting that is causing problems? Sent from my iPhone...

Dahua Mini Black Face PTZ (SD29204S-GN & SD29204T-GN)

The video looks nice and clean but... How does it handle motion in the scene? I have seen a number of awesome night stills that once motion is introduced there are all sorts of problems. Also, what lights were on while you captured the night footage? It appears the IR and one or two additional...

two drives split the recording locations

In the past I have seen people suggest that you remove all the cameras from the BI install and start by adding one camera at a time back into BI. While doing this watch your CPU load to see if it jumps up when adding one of the cameras. Also, since you have already added another disk to your...

two drives split the recording locations

I would still have to say that your problem is less likely to be the disk(s) at this point and more likely to be the CPU being run at 100%. What CPU are you using and how many total megapixels are your cameras?

two drives split the recording locations

Seems to me that if your CPU is running at 100% that you are not having as much problem with your drives as you are with BI hitting the ceiling with CPU usage. Have you taken any of the steps to reduce BI cpu usage yet?

I was getting the dancing motion on one of my cams prior to installing 4.3.0.4 today. I am not getting this same thing any more (currently any how).

Frequently stuttering and clip write error

Frequently stuttering and clip write error

Do you have this camera sending JPEG snapshots to a folder by chance? Or perhaps you are recording to external HDD for this camera?

AliExpress Enster PTZ 2.8-12mm,POE Bullet ONVF 4X

On my particular camera (again, not the same as this thread is about) changing the slow shutter option does not allow for the min and max exposure to be changed any more or less than what is in the screen capture. I tried changing the slow shutter to high and then increasing the exposure and it...

    4Mp ip camera HI3516D + OV4689

The original firmware on this camera is much like the TOP-201 camera lineup (one which I have a spare). If the Longse firmware can be installed on the hardware for this 4MP camera, I wonder if I can flash it to the TOP-201? I might just try it since I don't have an active use for the TOP right...

AliExpress Enster PTZ 2.8-12mm,POE Bullet ONVF 4X

The cameras that I have running a very similar, if not identical, firmware allows for Slow shutter to be set at None, Low, Medium, High. It does not indicate in the documentation what that really is doing to the image exposure but it is very evident that it holds the "aperture" open longer to...

    Zones

Zones appear to be configured per each preset. So preset 1 has the 7 configureable zones that are different from preset 2, 3, etc. your presets probably change based on a schedule like the majority of us set our systems up to do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

PTZ Ip Cam Fails to stream video after power outage but PTZ works - please help!

Its possible that any one of the electronic components is now experiencing a problem that would cause a lack of video out after a power surge. Without taking it down and troubleshooting it with "hands on" it's going to be difficult to tell exactly what it might be. Have you attempted to reset...

Interesting article about dvrs with "hardcoded" passwords

Thanks for posting this @pal251. Here is the resulting CERT vulnerability note from the RBS research. - https://www.kb.cert.org/vuls/id/899080 Bottom line, put this crap behind a firewall and use a VPN to access your DVRs.

PTZ Ip Cam Fails to stream video after power outage but PTZ works - please help!

Could this have been the result of a power surge when the power went out and came back on? So you are saying that you can control the PTZ motion, either through the camera web interface or BI/software, and the camera physically moves, you just aren't getting the video feed?

    Upgrade Options

To add to what @bp2008 said, you indicate you are accessing the a view through a web browser, but didn't mention what multicam view you were using. Is it one that you are using from your DVR? A server from Foscam? Since it works well at home and not at the office, I am going to have to agree...
