Don't think so. That's why I wondered how this cam compares to 'real' Starlight models. If they are much better in low light, I'd have no problem with paying the extra cost. I'm happy with the low light performance, but at daytime it seems the sensor is not the best in high contrast situations. -

I've never tried it, but it would seem logical that shutter speed increases when there's IR light available. Higher shutter speed (e.g. 1/60 instead of 1/30 s) means better images in terms of moving objects. Why don't you give it a try? Set it to B/W with IR Smart on, walk around and check the... -

I cannot imagine a country where it's against the law to keep surveillance recordings of my back garden for 6 months, if I want to. Except maybe in Little Rocketman's country. Recording e.g. the street is restricted (not forbidden) where I live and then certain rules apply. -

I have a similar set up (4108-P-4KS2 & WD Purple 6 TB, set to overwrite when full), but recording continuously 4 channels. I'm at approx. 2 TB space left and expect to reach the 100% used state in a few days. I'll let you know what happens. -

The NVR you're refering to is without PoE. If you need it, search for the 4104-P (or 4108-P). There are a couple of ethernet PoE ports where you connect your PoE cams. Other/more than 4 cams can be connected through your network. The seller puts an exclamation mark after *every* sentence... -

Not sure why you'd call it low end. Although the resolution is lower, the sensitivity is better. My favorite store also mentions "better chip set", but that's not backed up by specs or anything else. And it's more expensive than the 44xx range. -
