    It says 'can't reach this page'. I've been thinking - I've a vague memory of something - that IP couldn't be a second IP also pointing to the nvr could it? Tried another prog: camylitics - I don't really know how to use it but I couldn't get it to see the camera either.

    I have two of these and I can't get them working. I've got one connected now. Ethernet connection to the Lan router. (home lan). The router doesn't see it. No software sees it: not sricam's, nor blue iris, nor contacam nor ispy. Any advice on what I can do to troubleshoot this problem?

    aaahh... so simple...... but the wifi cams the nvr lists it leaves their ip's untouched. and I just unplugged the cam and put it back into the plain poe switch and there's no sign of it yet. The router doesn't list it. The config tool can't find it. What IP might I expect to find it at now...

    dahua 5431.. Edit 2nd Dec. I now know for sure that it is okay. The hardware NVR located it. Somehow it managed to change its IP from 10.0.0.108 to 10.1.1.97. That's a hell of a leap... no wonder Angry IP Scanner didn't find it, nor the browsers, nor contacam or blue iris...

    no, I realise that it couldn't mean everything - but it at least signifies some life in the camera - I've had no other positive indication that it is getting power so this is good. And blinking means data transfer I think? So that's good. More than I had. thanks. :)
