    I notice you lose virtual host with this firmware, right now I cant seem to access my nvr via the web interface for some reason it was working earlier but I ham happy its working.

    I did exactly what @djangel described at the beginning of this post, changing the baud rate to 115200 was the key, the rs-232 port on the back of the unit worked. Thanks again everybody, I have 3.3.4 on it now.

    Crossover cable didnt work, straight connection didnt work, 192.0.0.128/8 connects but it connects to the 192.168.1.170 address and searches for some file called econt_Vision-AV2000

    I set up a switch all by itself and a spare computer, unhooked everything from the nvr, ran a ping on 192.0.0.60 that hits while the nvr boots but it still dont want to connect, I will make a crossover cable and see what happens.     DS-7716NI-SP v3.3.4build 150616 got it from nellys firmware before I tried to upgrade was 3.1.5

    Just checked all of that and still no joy, nvr just boots up tftp says connect failure.

    This is what I have done so far, tried both 192.0.0.128 192.0.0.168 ips, turned off all firewall/anti virus, hooked up the nvr and computer to a switch started tftp auto updater started the nvr, the nvr boots tftp says connect failed. I am just trying to go back to the last firmware that worked.

    Still wont connect, the nvr is still showing 192.168.1.170 port 8000 in sadp, I have tried 192.0.0.128 and 192.0.0.168 Thanks for the help so far, I am sure there is one little thing I am missing somehow.

    I think I need help with tftp, or a link to how to do it, I tried the hikvision auto-updater and it wont connect to the nvr sadp still shows it having the old ip address.

    I just did this to my nvr and I am stuck, it shows up in SADP with the same IP is did before the upgrade but I get the same messed up login, before I drag my laptop in there to hook it up directly is there any way to just reset the password?

    I only use line crossing for my driveway at low sensitivity due to the absurd amount of false alarms I was getting due to tree shadows, as for the cameras sending to the nvr and the nvr sending the email that is exactly how I do it. Just set up what ever motion detection scheme you want to use...

    No, I set up line crossing on the camera and it sends the event to the nvr, the nvr sends the email.
